My dad offered me $500 to make a website for his girlfriend. I have no experience in website making whatsoever but it's $500 so I have to try. She makes clothes and wants a website to show off her stock. I don't need to have an online store or anything. Just need different sections for different clothes. Then pictures and stuff. So whats the best website to create my own website for this? (doesnt matter what the website is called or anything)
It won't get much views if it is free, And for good websites, You need to start at beginning.
I'd recommend purchasing or using a trial version of Adobe DreamWeaver, and Lynda's "DreamWeaver basics" to get properly started. There are also some nice free tutorials on above.TV.
No she doesnt want people to google it or anything. Just a website she can put on her business card. that shows her stock with photos and names. thats it.

Google "Freewebs" Then purchase a domain from GoDaddy with whatever URL you want.

First of all I'd recommend learning some basic web programming; HTML, CSS, maybe some PHP and SQL. Then, think about the design of the website; the user interface, layout and all that jazz. If your website uses PHP, you'll have to test it by using a localhost server. Stuff like XAMPP (google it) can help you with this. And then, if you've got your site as you want it, purchase a domain name, and rent hosting space, pop the website on the internet, and you're off. Making a good website is not easy, sure you can use DreamWeaver or something to make something really quick, but learning the language is always the better option, as you'll have more control over your stuff.
Joomla
learn HTML, it's easy
Piczo. Actually, it used to be really good, but it's shit now.
