• Help Computer Lagging

Hey Facepunch, I'm having some lag issues and I have no idea what's causing it. My computer is HP Vista, 4 GB RAM, with 2029MB used out of 4832MB. I also have an Intel Dual Core. Lag started a about a week ago and it's continuous. My dad, and sister all use this computer, so I'm assuming they got a virus or something, but my norton (ew ew ew ew ew) isn't picking anything up ;(. If you can't tell, I'm not very big into computers-_- so if anyone can help that would be cupcakes and twinkies. -- So I think something is wrong with my CPU...-_- I'm pretty sure the CPU shouldn't be at 100%... Someone please help...T_T
Yeah think i got the same pc, more or less :P But what kind of lag?
Yeah think i got the same pc, more or less :P But what kind of lag?
Programs are taking a very long time to open. Websites also take forever to load or be refreshed. Just general overall lag, but it's really, really bad. I tried opening up my steam account and it took me literally an hour before it actually opened up-_-.. I can't browse through websites without it taking 5 minutes to load..

Download SpyBot Search & Destroy.
Download SpyBot Search & Destroy.
Is that better than Registry Mechanic because i ran it and got 21 malware infections cleaned up. I also downloaded Malwarebytes and didn't find anything. and I'm still lagging.
clean the fan air vents too
Your CPU is dying
Is that better than Registry Mechanic because i ran it and got 21 malware infections cleaned up. Coming from the guy who knows jack shit about computers, just post your results, what you've tried so far, and ask for options so you won't be browsing this thread for weeks doing it one by one ^_^.
Your CPU is dying
How do i know if my CPU is dying; And how can i fix it?! What's causing the problem?
No . means no srsness. But install Avast and try that.
Open up your proccess tab. Then see if a proccess is hogging a lot or resources.
Restart your computer, and when it's loading up (progress bar) hit F2 a bunch of times. It should take you to a blue menu-style screen. Navigate to the CPU info and take a picture/write down what you see.
