Well Facepunch, it has been great being here for five years. Over such time this forum has changed and grown by leaps and bounds. Sure, there are bad posters sometimes, but Facepunch has remained pretty consistent. I will not be able to post here in quite some time though, as I enlisted in the U.S. Army in April. My ship date is tomorrow, 10/11/2011. I get 2 weeks Christmas Exodus so I will post then. I know I may not have been the most active member, as reflected by my postcount, or make quality posts 100% of the time (as I have said some dumb things in the past), but I still love Facepunch. I will see you in about three months Facepunch. Oh, and to all of the people in the Warhammer 40k thread, praise the Omnissiah and God-Emperor!
MOS?
Fort?
Active? Reserve?
My MOS is 15S OH-58D Helicopter Repairer. I am going to Fort Jackson SC for my BCT and Ft Eustis VA for my AIT. I enlisted as an E-3 and I am active duty.

Heh, considering I will be a total POG, I think that is not very likely to happen.
Have fun being a pawn in a bullshit war created by private interests.
Good luck not being randomly blown up by a roadside IED or getting shot out of fucking nowhere by a guy who you probably later on will not catch up to.

I will be stationed in the US or other bases around the world. When I get deployed I will be still fixing Kiowa Warriors, not going out on combat patrols and whatnot. Like I said, total POG.
Who are the people that fly the drones?

Thanks for the free college man. I really appreciate you chipping in.
Where do you think I should go to school? I feel like you should have a say in this, I mean you practically are paying for my tuition! I was thinking of pursuing some kind of Nursing Major, what colleges do you suggest?
Good luck to ya.

Why aren't you banned yet
Have fun getting yelled at. At least, that's what I imagine it to be like, I actually have no idea what it'll be like.
Good luck, and I hope you were able to get the Adeptus Mechanicus on your dog-tags. It'll make anyone who tears them from your neck's day a little brighter.
May I ask you why and when did you decide to enlist in the military?
Keep your head up man. Boot Camp is going to be shitty especially the first couple of weeks, but when they're beating you just think that they do it to everyone. You'll probably never see your DI's again so don't take anything too personally. Keep your nose to the grindstone and you'll make it. Boot Camp is designed to push people through it so it's not too difficult, nor is it to easy though. You'll make it though.

Its just discipline, which im sure OP has already experienced alot of in training. A lot of the time OP won't be doing anything serious.
Just don't get blown up by a roadside bomb OP.

I bet you don't even have a job.

I get my dogtags at Reception, I hope that they will let me put it on my tags. I mean, I will even make the cog symbol and praise the omnissiah if the person wants. I hope the person has a sense of humor, or doesn't just put "no religious preference".

Hey, Asswipe. He isn't "leeching off your tax dollars", if anything that's the government's fault. Show some fucking respect to the people who put their lives on the line daily for your ass.
May I ask you why and when did you decide to enlist in the military?
I enlisted on April 27th of this year. I enlisted because I felt that it would be the right direction to go. I did not have money for college, and I have always wanted to fly. That is why I enlisted in the aviation field so it would be easier for me to apply for warrant officer school. I also wish to serve my country and keep up a military tradition, though both of my parents were in the Air Force and I joined the Army.

Do you know where will they ship you?

Best of luck being an unappreciative arse.
