Can't wait for it to come out!
Holy shit, that's fucking awesome!
Nice detailing.

But yeah, an original pose would have been nice
To be fair, it's not like he went and traced it. But yeah, an original pose would have been nice
I'm not saying he's tracing it, but there's no info on the youtube description of who made the original image and there's no trace of him giving any credit to the original artist. Also, he makes it sound like he made it from scratch. It's obvious now that he had another monitor or a paper print of the original next to him while drawing. I, for one as an artist find not giving credit and posing it as your own is disgusting.
It does take effort to copy it by looking at it though. It's not like if it's a 1 minute trace, it takes hours to perfect it.

Oh, I agree with you then.
Never thought of it that way since the entire game is already made by an entire team. If it would be an individual artist I could imagine the fuss about notifying the designer.

It's not just that the original designer needs his credit, it's also the way you make it seem. Like you made the image. If somebody for example hires you based on copied/traced images and then discovers it you're in for some shit. You're not responsible for either the shapes, linework or color work on this image. All you did is copy another guy. "Can't wait for this title to come out, and of course the appearance of this painting was just a matter of time. Ezio was a pretty hard draw, and very time-consuming. But I like the result." Taken from the youtube description. It really makes it seem like you designed it from the ground up.

I just draw for fun, never with the intention of being hired whatsoever. 2. It was hard to draw, and timeconsuming... 3. The AC series goes back a long way, and this is just fanart. Don't want to sound like an asshole here, but I think your over reacting. Do understand that I know what you mean though. But also know this is Fanart, made for fun...
You need to realize which context this image was made in, this is not such a big deal in this case as it's just simple fanart It'd be nice to get back on topic
Okay, let's talk about Stab Creed Revelations... That's the topic, right? And yeah, I'm probably overreacting. Just slightly irritated is all ^^
h0lgr, I respect your opinion on this, I really do. But indeed as wewt posted, you should see it in the right context. I agree with you it is awful that people copy others to make money ot of it. Saw it in Paris, where a guy copied some work of a very good painter, and sold it with his name under it. I got annoyed by that as well ;)
Your brushwork needs work. Do more studies on real people to get a grasp of anatomy and use higher opacity and large brushes. For practise I suggest doodling some stuff with 100% opacity brushes or something. Flip your canvas every once and a while to check for mistakes, try to have zero tolerance against them and take breaks from drawing. It's sad to see you have fancy channel and videos for sub-bar artwork. [editline]13th September 2011[/editline] also it's a copy, loosen up. It's not like he plagarized or traced or something.
Holy crap I've been subscribed to you on youtube for ages, damn i never knew you were on facepunch

(Sorry, not a native english speaker and google did not give me any good insight in this term ;) ...)
