Found a Logitech z-5500 at a 50% price drop, should I buy?

Self-explanatory, it seems like all over the world the z-5500 is reciving a price drop. I found a 50% drop at my retailer of choice (it's swedish) and I'm wondering from you helpful nerds and audiophiles if I should buy it or if there's a better alternative/if I should save my money cause it's not as good as everyone says.
just as an FYI my current system is a logitech 2.1 X-210 which gives me static and sound distirtion at anywhere near loud volumes, and sounds all-in-all unimpressive otherwise.

Follow up question, if I now buy this very sexy sound system, would it be beneficial to also buy a sound card to replace the onboard realtek someting something, or would I pretty much not know any difference?
if you think you need it

at $150 I would just get some really nice headphones unless you really need speakers for some reason
If there's a 50% price drop, you won't get anything nearly as good in the price range.
The z-5500's sub has a very heavy bass, and a lot of folks recommend it for gaming.
When talking about sounds sytems there isn't really a "need" unless you're doing something proffessional.
I have money to spend and I've long been dissatisfied with my curent system.
What I need is for someone else to tell me to buy this or not because I can't make up my own damn mind.

I would buy nice headphones. They'll sound way better than anything you're going to get from speakers unless you want to spend $1,000+

seeing as you don't have a need, anyway
