these are the real issues i hope everyone makes it out of this okay
My heart goes out to all the victims. When will these atrocities end?
The picture featured plus-sized model Tess Holliday wearing a bikini.
These body positivity feminists want to see fat chicks in ads but I bet they would be up in arms (on social media) if they saw a fat guy in a speedo in an ad on facebook. I think most people would install adblock to avoid seeing either scenario.[sp]Except chubby chasers[/sp]
I'd assumed they meant plus size as in any size above industry standard anorexic - in other words, healthy. I was not expecting that first picture.
"Ads like these are not allowed since they make viewers feel bad about themselves," read the response from Facebook's Ads Team.
What is this nanny BS.

I'm all for body positivity, but
The group had contacted Tess Holliday's management for permission to use the image but had not received a reply, she said.
FB probably saved them a lawsuit. Tess is notoriously petty and would probably try to sue or some shit.
but I bet they would be up in arms (on social media) if they saw a fat guy in a speedo in an ad on facebook.
Everyone would be quite mad to see such horror. Facebook is already brain damaging enough, at least spare the eyes.
In all fairness, Tess Munster and the people who work with her are scumbags and shouldn't be given any sort of credibility whatsoever. They're just as guilty of using photoshop rest of the fucking modelling industry, yet have the balls to call themselves "body positive" and "real". I'm ok with fat models, but models aren't typically covered in tattoos because it draws a good chunk of attention away from what they're modeling for.

I am fat myself, and I can't get myself to accept that this is "beautiful" and is worthy of model fashion, its gross to even think its okay. At this point it's just straight-out overglorifying obesity, and that's the real problem here, not "plus size model fashioning"

Sorry to whoever is fat and reads this, but goddamn she looks terrible.
Even the photoshopped pics are awful. Sorry to whoever is fat and reads this, but goddamn she looks terrible.
Obesity is not attractive. I'm glad Facebook blocked her from being in the ads. If I didn't use adblock, I'd be absolutely disgusted seeing that when I visit that website.

My point just is, she isn't gross. Gross is trypophobia-pictures, blood and gore, shit, weirdass sex often involving shit, and pineapples on pizza. You don't scroll past her and go 'Ew what the fuck I was eating here!'.
You don't scroll past her and go 'Ew what the fuck I was eating here!'.
actually i do even though the majority of women aren't skinny models, the pictures and shoots like the ones Tess publishes are definitely sexualised and supposed to get attention. i dont know a single male who actually finds a body like that attractive (doesnt mean that they dont exist), not to mention that she isnt even "chubby" or "plus-size", she's just morbidly fucking obese and we shouldnt justify that or make people feel bad about themselves for not finding people like her attractive. and that is basically what the people from the article are trying to do but maybe im just a horrible person
I don't understand why people are deathly afraid of fatbodies. Like who gives a fuck. But if facebook doesn't want fatbodies on their advertisements, that's their decision as a company, it shouldn't spark a big outrage. There are definitely fatbodies that need to get over the fact that there are a majority of people who do not find them attractive.

They don't like the message some groups try to promote and shaming anyone who isn't like them or agree with their message.
I want to know how much her body wobbles if I slap her ass.
You'd shift a few tectonic plates.
Fat acceptance is one thing but these idiots who are basically encouraging it as if its more healthy than being muscular and fit are delusional
Fat acceptance is one thing but these idiots who are basically encouraging it as if its more healthy than being muscular and fit are delusional
I wish their message was "Happy at any size" instead of "Healthy at any size". The way I see it as long as an overweight person is aware of the health risks associated with their lifestyle, if it's a lifestyle that makes them happy and they're okay with the risks, let them be happy. It's nobody else's business. But it's like because health is what most assholes use to justify shitting on fat people, they felt they had to go the exact opposite with "NO WE'RE HEALTHY!"
