Hello, today I was just feeling explorious (is that even a word?) and I decided to hit up some old telnet BBSes.
I managed to connect to one, and it is pretty cool, nobody has posted in it since like 2001.
I thought we could use it as a FP telnet BBS. It even tells you the speed in bauds.
So without further adieu here is the address "casrock.com" you go to your cmd, and write "telnet" then you write "o" "telnet.lizardmaster.com" without the speechmarks.
If you don't have it enabled (Vista and 7 default) you go to Control Panel-Add or change Programs or Features (may not be same in english, just guessing) and from there enable telnet. I will be posting some pictures soon too.

DISREGARD THE CASROCK ADDRESS IT IS PAID USE THIS INSTEAD "telnet.lizardmaster.com"
P.S I wonder when was the last time someone bought a subscription to the casrock BBS.....
Talking about incest and drugs ~old skool~ style.
You can't just bust in and take over someone's BBS and make it your own.
But regardless, yeah, BBS's are cool. Especially if you can get a Telnet client like Syncterm that will force a baud rate, so you can make it look like the text is streaming in line-by-line

Okay disregard this BBS, it requires you to pay :(
I will find new one
So what do we use this for?
How did you find this/these types of boards in general?
telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl
Text Star Wars.

BBS games can be very fun.
Isn't there actually a custom BBS client, the cmd is pretty basic

Same here, as soon as I saw this I brought it up to him, he nostalgasmed, he went to an old BBS that he used to go to but it was mostly removed, only the welcome message is up.
Some guy wants to exchange pictures with me... :/

Send pics of a cute girl if you haven't said your gender, if you have, send pics of a handsome man and keep conversation going.
In Vancouver we all trust the old reliable Bandmaster BBS. I have had an account with them since 2004.
The kicker is that not only can you connect through telnet (bandmaster.tzo.com) but fully registered and supporting members have access to the two dial-up lines Bandmaster has:
266-1977
266-5271
I can confirm they both work on 300 baud connections. :v:

It's active enough that it's been alive since the 80's.
It's like a pre-internet Reliquary.
Let's use: telnet.lizardmaster.com
seeing as people got a lot of shit from FP there now.
So let's make that the "Semi-Official not-dead(anymore) Facepunch BBS"
