Does anyone still play this?
Does anyone still play this?
It seems as though people are returning for 1.4. 1.4 fixes a lot of issues with the game and overhauls the core game significantly. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't played in a while.
Does anyone still play this?
I couldn't complete it, because after taking a 1 week hiatus everyone I played with was so many levels ahead they couldn't really do the missions with me anymore.
Might be a good time redeeming the free key I got.

I enjoyed the division, then the endgame hits and it was pretty boring.
The main thing is that they fixed the anticheat so you can play in the DZ without getting instantly murdered by someone who's clipped inside the pavement
Hyping up a badly made game to get people to buy it and then after a while having more people buy it due to a "re-master patch" of sorts seems like a scummy but worthwhile idea
The point of the patch is to bring players back by making the game more fun. They delayed the next two expansions just to work on the core game because it wasn't any fun. The 1-30 portion was a LOT of fun, but after that the game drops off. What they've done with 1.4 is made the entire game once you hit cap feel like the 1-30 experience Roaming named NPCs are back, which drop loot, and respawn every few hours You can choose the difficulty (Similar to torment levels in D3) for the PvE world, with appropriate loot and gearscore drops Dailies and weeklies are rewarding and more fun to do due to NPC health/Armor and weapon/stat changes. Harder NPCs will use medical stations and electronics skills, too Electronics is fucking viable now. And scales with difficulty so it doesn't become useless. You don't have to do a firearms build like everyone else to be useful now Every activity drops loot you can use/want, now. Scaling in difficulty of your choosing. You aren't stuck grinding the same mission or raid now, as anything you want to do is worth doing to improve your character. Again, like D3 after RoS expansion, the time you put into the game won't feel wasted as you'll have something you didn't have when you logged in that day, or hour Vectors aren't OP anymore. Hell all SMGs got huge damage nerfs so they fit their intended role more. I had a god tier Vector myself and now it'll take real gear specialization to make it viable as a primary There's some Quality of life changes too. Stash in DZ checkpoints, you get double the ammo once you hit level 30, crafting is less tedious and takes less menu navigation to do shit, weapon skins don't take up inventory slots anymore, and other shit like this There's a lot more changes. TOO many to list, the notes are ridiculously long The Dark Zone hasn't changed much, though. But the stat and weapon balances change it up a bit All in All. I loved 1-30 Division, hated the rest of it, but now I love the Division again. It's a good patch, they fucking listened to the majority of players through the public test server, and you should at least try it. You may still not like it which is fair enough, but damn they actually tried this time. The only people who hate the patch are those who put 2000 hours into grinding an incursion with their 3 friends to min/max so they can troll the DZ and stomp on players who didn't. Now everyone can get good loot doing everything. Though if you want to min/max a build it's going to take time, but the gear discrepancy between hardcore no lifers and casual/solo players should be a lot smaller
I started playing Division after my partner got it as part of his job. I loved levelling up to 30 but hated the fact that to get the best gear you had to go to the dark zone. So I petered out of playing it until the PTS arrived and I couldn't get enough of it.
I need to redownload this.
Huh, so it's worth playing now? I have friends who bought it on launch and immediately stopped playing shortly after reaching end-game stuff. Looks like this patch was a huge QoL update.
