Keep in mind, I am dusting my PC in about an hour but was wondering if this was overheating or might be my problem on how games aren't performing as well as they usually are. [t]http://i.imgur.com/EF7AA.png[/t] Some specs: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) Twin Frozr ll GTX 560 Ti 8 Gigs of RAM Windows 7 Pro 64-bit If you need the motherboard just ask since I forgot the model name but I can find it. Thanks! [editline]July 23[/editline] If you need me to post with Speccy or any other program just ask. Thanks. [editline]July 23[/editline] If you didn't see the reply, heres the new temperatures, is it still overheating? [t]http://i.imgur.com/HOZPI.png[/t]
first - blow out the dust. are you using an after market cpu cooler? also, Speccy. is your case on carpet, hardwood or on your desk?
80C is way too fucking hot for a CPU, you should have been alarmed when it hit 70C. If you're using the stock Intel cooler, throw it in the trash and get a Hyper 212+

now, hardwood isn't as bad as carpet. if at all possible, get it off the ground and on your desk. it will also make it easier to maintenance and upgrade as it will be right there
