The title says it all What computer hardware should I buy to play CryEngine at very high graphics?
What's your budget
i7 980X 4 GTX 480s
i7 980X 4 GTX 480s
Or dual i7s with that EVGA dual-socket mobo.
Or dual i7s with that EVGA dual-socket mobo.
Dual i7 980X
Why i7 980X's when you can OC some high-end xeons?
Why i7 980X's when you can OC some high-end xeons?
No.
is this just a question or are you really planning to get one
Why i7 980X's when you can OC some high-end xeons?
Are there xeons better than the i7 980X?
Or dual i7s with that EVGA dual-socket mobo.
Shit! Sexy
Shit! [img_thumb]http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu2/techjesse/imageview.jpg[/img_thumb] Sexy
neat
Sexy
Imagine the dust. The dust. Still that's sexy, just a big block of circuitry and awesomeness!
Dual i7 980X
The CPU is rather a problem than the GPU. Crysis runs perfectly on very high on low resolutions on my Core i5-750. Only my 4890 is the limiting factor. [editline]05:26PM[/editline]
Shit! http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu2/techjesse/imageview.jpg Sexy
Oh I assume this thing has plane-turbine sound-quality and moves your PC forward if you won't weld it to the floor.
i can run far cry @ 60+ fps on my i3 + 4770 build [editline]05:43PM[/editline] vhigh dont listen to these guys, they're all stupid ,, and trying to trick you.

it was a "joke"
5970/i7 980x/Quad-Channel DDR3 RAM. This is just silly.
5970/i7 980x/Quad-Channel DDR3 RAM. This is just silly.
i7 uses triple channel and 4 480s > 1 5970

If money isn't a issue try to build a time machine and travel into the future and buy a shit cheap computer and take it back to our time. Or just get a i7 or phenom 2 6core and buy a single gtx 480 not like that will have any problems running it.

also make a 24/7 liquid helium loop
Why not just buy the most expensive computer availible in the future, if money isn't a issue?
The interstellar currency wont accept the dollar.
Whatever, why not get dual 980X's anyway
Because then I'd need to have the stock-cooler and fan which is loud. I like my Alpenföhn Heidi
Get liquid-nitrogen cooling... Shouldn't be a problem.
Get liquid-nitrogen cooling... Shouldn't be a problem.
this
Also 4 480's > 2 5970's IIRC
Yep. The scaling on crossfired 5970s is rather crap, iirc.
Why not just buy the most expensive computer availible in the future, if money isn't a issue?
Well, I know he said money wasn't an issue but that time machine is still -really- expensive....
Isn't it impossible to have 2 980X's? Why not get 2 8-core Xeons and 2 5970s overclocked to 1Ghz core? that would be the best. Would explode from heat, but it would be the best. Or find a way to connect 4 5970s together
Well, I know he said money wasn't an issue but that time machine is still -really- expensive....
use the time machine to invest in microsoft or something [editline]10:33PM[/editline] or win the next lottery, that's easier
