So I've noticed a problem recently, no videos on YouTube or Facebook play audio. They play video just fine, but there's no audio at all. However, this is only an issue on Google Chrome. I've Googled so many fixes but nothing works. The odd thing is, is YouTube videos and Facebook videos work just fine on Internet Explorer.
Another thing I noticed is that videos on Google Chrome keep pausing every 5 seconds or so and I have to move the playback indicator thingy to keep it playing. It's really irritating. All help is appreciated.
Do you have any audio at all in Chrome, like in flashgames or similar? You could check the audio for chrome in the Volume Mixer, if you use Windows 7
Chrome doesn't even show up in the volume mixer. And I get no audio for anything flash related.
Do you have Chrome running while checking the volume mixer? Have you tried to reinstall Chrome?

Or run CCleaner to scan for errors in register.
I'll try CCleaner. Will report back!
Did you check the other posts relating to this problem?
1. Download the DLL http://dl.dropbox.com/u/62600725/NPSWF32.zip
2. Browse to this C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Appl ication\21.0.1180.60
3. Find the file named gcswf32.dll and move it to your desktop
4. Rename the dll you downloaded to gcswf32.dll
5. Drop it in and open up chrome and type in the search bar chrome://plugins and hit enter
6. You should see the flash plugin and two versions of it.
7. Disable version 11.3.31.222 and enable version 11.3.300.268
8. Restart chrome and see if it worked

I had this problem the other day.
Enter 'about:plugins' into the address bar
At the top right press 'Details'
You will probably have a few different copies of the flash plugin installed, try disabling all but one and trying each.
