Oh god damnit....AGAIN!?
Jesus....japan just can't catch a break can it?
Pro tip: When you settle down to declare a plot of land as your country...don't go where Tornados or Hurricanes take their vacations and don't lay where really really big waves will most assuredly wash everything you worked so hard to build back into the ocean.
In other words, Japan was founded on stupidity but that's okay because Tornado Valley was a really good idea too.

Hey man, you can't help where Civ places you at the start of the game, you could look for a better spot, but there are barbarians man.
To be fair, our ancestors really had no way of knowing that any location would be prone to earthquakes or volcanic activity. And they also had a thing for trying to appease the forces of nature through rituals, which doesn't really work too well, but they kept trying anyway, bless them.
I'm expecting a massive Fukuppy

I doubt the ancient hunter-gatherers were really worried about whether or not their nuclear power plants would be in trouble

These things weren't exactly as detectable as they are today.

Were you Rome?
Even if it has nothing to do with it, this just makes me think of HAARP.
