After Paul the octopus and Mani the parakeet come two arowanas named Big Huat and Little Huat from Qian Hu Fish Farm. They will put their psychic powers to the test to predict the result of Euro 2012's opening game between Poland and Greece. -- ST PHOTO: ASHLEIGH SIM
Was it nerves that got the better of Big Huat, one half of Qian Hu's psychic dragon fish pair? Or was he simply throwing a hissy fit of whale-like proportions, upset with the barrage of flashes and clicking noises directed at his tank? Either way, Big Huat kept the surrounding crowd waiting for an agonising 20 minutes at Qian Hu Fish Farm before deciding on a draw result for Euro 2012's first match between Poland and Greece. In order to do this, the award-winning gold crossback arowana had to bite down on one of three levers attached to food canisters assigned to Poland, Greece and a draw result respectively.
http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_807767.html
When it comes to hilarious superstitions, humanity's an absolute pro.
Oh boy, here we go again!
There's only one true animal prophet: This fish is a fucking poser.
When you have 60000 animals that can choose between 3 choices (or two, most often) for a relatively small amount of matches, obviously at least one of them is going to get them all (or most) right.
Greek team is most probably malnourished so I wouldn't be surprised.
Here we go again. [editline]8th June 2012[/editline]
Oh boy, here we go again!
And again.
WOW THIS LOOKS LIKE NEWS
The fish's true decision was that crazed topless feminists would win the cup.

Wasn't it eaten? Also, IIRC he got many of the matches right.
Wasn't it eaten? Also, IIRC he got many of the matches right.
No, died of old age.
How could an animal possibly tell the outcome of a match? They probably don't even consider things such as; each player's health and state of mind during the play, the skill-level, the new potential star-players, etc.

As if he keeps track of the rankings, offensive and defensive stats, just probably overlook their state of mind.
It's a one in three that the fish is "right"
I love the guy in the video when the fish opens the Poland flask. "Yeah! Poland! Haha!" He sounds so happy like he'd been waiting days for the fish to pick Poland. It's funnier because no one else seems to share his excitement.
...That octopus died.
Common octopuses only live about two years. Makes sense...
I missed the word "fish" when I was scrolling through threads and was very confused for a moment.
Speaking of EURO cup, can we have a thread? If not, I'll make a emergency one tomorrow.
Penalty for Greece - goalie saved, still 1-1
