Monitor has a yellow tint, however when looked at from below it does not.

My Gateway monitor has all white colours tinted yellow (the colour white also isnt "bright").
However, when looked at from below (meaning as if I were sitting at the floor looking up at the monitor), the monitor looks fine. White is back to being a bright, clear white, rather than a dull, yellow-tinted white.
Is there a solution to this? Or is my monitor dead?
Edit: Putting color settings to "cool" seems to fix the issue, however then the color issue is a blue-tint. When fooling around with colors it seems I can only get tints, and not just a regular colour.
How old is your monitor? Monitors tend to degrade color as they age. I have a Dell monitor here which has ran over 14.000 hours, while my HP monitor has ran only 4686 hours. I can clearly notice the color difference between these monitors.

Here's a example, but the difference is barely noticeable on camera unfortunately.
Also, did this occur suddenly or did it just creep up on you and you just noticed it?
It creeped up on me. Yeah I tried to take a picture as well but the effect is never clearly captured.
I do believe it could be an age issue, as (now that I put the screen on a page that is all white) some parts are more yellow than others.

Is it an LCD or a CRT?
LCD
Probably signs of impending monitor failure, I had a monitor that was doing the same except the colors were turning red.
Eventually everything had gotten so red I decided to try playing DOOM 95 with hardcore death metal music in the background.
It was a pretty interesting experience.

If your monitor doesn't have custom colour controls (i.e. not just warm/cool/etc), search 'calibrate display' in your start menu and follow the wizard
