That's actually hardly surprising. They need to start releasing bigger original titles.

[img_thumb]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61IVRSo0%2BpL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img_thumb] Just look at what the Sims have become
So howd that whole "screw our customers to please our stockholders" thing work out for you then?
Good. Maybe they'll now see how much they suck.

That game was legendary.
Criterion isn't dead though, they're still making great games the last time I checked.

EA just picked up the pieces and moved them under the Bioware umbrella.
Good riddance.
So how serious socially and financially will this effect them? and how quickly?
Maxis and Criterion are still going strong, and Mythic was more a problem of poor management. EA just picked up the pieces and moved them under the Bioware umbrella.
Spore? Katy Perry Sims the 10th? Need for speed 15?
Spore? Katy Perry Sims the 10th? Need for speed 15?
SimCity is looking great and the new NFS is a genuinely good racing game. I'm not seeing your point. Yeah they nickel and dime Sims expansions and that sucks but they still make good games otherwise.
Maxis and Criterion are still going strong, and Mythic was more a problem of poor management. EA just picked up the pieces and moved them under the Bioware umbrella.
The new sims games are repetitive in terms of their content releases and they haven't added anything cool like they did to the original sims in terms of expansion packs, but still alright over all I guess Criterion have made a few decent racers recently but they've lost a lot of personality I found the earlier games they made to have Bioware has become mostly shit focused on things that are not what many of their fans demand [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
SimCity is looking great and the new NFS is a genuinely good racing game. Yeah NFS MW is a pretty good game but if you remember the original MW or early NFS games it's not quite there, certainly not what I'd thought Criterion would do for it. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] But all of this is no excuse for the destruction of Westwood and Bullfrog studios.
This had better not affect my Simcity, Dead Space 3, or Mirror's Edge 2.

Also isnt that the font used in the dawn of war games?
This had better not affect my Simcity, Dead Space 3, or Mirror's Edge 2.
Because coop is the best thing in a horror game :v:
Because coop is the best thing in a horror game :v:
uh yeah as long as it's optional it might be fun. I think coop should be an option in every game. even the worst games are fun when you are cooperating with someone to wade through the shit.
Because coop is the best thing in a horror game :v:
man, these necromorphs just aren't scary. you know what is scary? generic dudes with guns

DICE made Mirror's Edge under EA so

Yeah, he's pretty heartless but I'm pretty sure that's the CEO of ActivisionBlizzard; another asshat running another company that buys out franchises and runs them into the ground. Is anyone here familiar with 4Kids entertainment? Yeah, before his days with Activision, this man was responsible for the butchering of countless Anime. I apologize, I lost my composure a bit there; it's just that the very thought of this karma houdini's wrongdoings absolutely ruffles my feathers.
as long as dead space 3 comes out before they crumble i'm good. and the game seems to be coming along nicely so i'm not worried.

upper left, buddy [editline]17th December 2012[/editline]

i think that shit eating grin disturbs people so much it makes them think borderlands is a good IP

Whoa what happened in 2004 that wiped out those companies?
uh yeah as long as it's optional it might be fun. I think coop should be an option in every game. even the worst games are fun when you are cooperating with someone to wade through the shit.
Bioshock would have been retarded with optional coop. System Shocks 2 Coop essentially made the game a lot worse as stated by Ken Levine because it took to much time away from the important shit, like not being coop. The walking dead would have been dumb coop. Amnesia would have been dumb with coop. Coop isnt always good, especially in a "Horror" game. Its dumb in Dead Space.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL!!!
TBH I think the devs have their priorities out of order when adding in Coop has come before making a survival horror game actually scary.
have you actually seen some of the shit that makes coop cool?
