Inaba told Polygon at Tokyo Game Show that making games for PC and releasing them through Valve's Steam service — and funding its own projects through Kickstarter — is something the developer is "very interested in." Platinum does not currently have any PC games in development, Inaba explained, adding that the decision on which platforms the company's games are released is primarily up to their publishers. "We haven't released anything on Steam yet, or any PC games for that matter, so I'm not in a position to encourage other people to do so," Inaba said. "However, I used to belong to a big publisher [Capcom]. And if you're at a big publisher, business gets carried on just seeing your game on console. Many publishers don't view PC as an important platform." The Osaka-based developer currently has titles in the works for Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. "Console game development budgets are really big," he said, "so we need publishing partners to create those games. I was thinking — with our own money — about creating a PC title for Steam. It would give us the possibility to become a publisher, which is very attractive to me." "If you think about the console market in Japan, and compare it to the world, it's not that big," Inaba said. "So I view the PC as an area with huge potential. It would be great if we could do a Kickstarter and gather enough money for a game to be released on Steam." Inaba says he recently visited Valve when he attended PAX Prime in Seattle. He says Valve talked about its future goals, where the company was headed, and "things that we can't really talk about, unfortunately." "We got the impression that they are a very open-minded company," he said.
Also Here's Inaba from the Dota 2 International Tournament and Touring in Valve Headquarters

Vanquish, Bayoneta on PC!!
Gabe giving peace sign World peace confirmed
I want Metal Gear Revengeance on Steam.
I'm excited for this; these games are pretty solid, and I always love more cross-platform releases. The thing I'm most worried about, however, would be the quote;
"However, I used to belong to a big publisher [Capcom]. And if you're at a big publisher, business gets carried on just seeing your game on console. Many publishers don't view PC as an important platform."
With all the money coming from the PC market, why wouldn't they be interested? I'd like to see the reasoning why.
It's a pretty smart idea to get into PCs lately. I find it dumb that a lot of publishers don't even look at PC as an important platform. Also, Gabe looks so cool recently.
Gabe's rocking that beard good.
because in Japan no one likes PC gaming
Well it's not nearly as ingrained in the industry as it is in the west.
This was posted here a few weeks ago already
because in Japan no one likes PC gaming
Unless it's porn.
V for victory
V for Valve
Bayonetta for PC. Do it. I would buy it so fast.
Why does Gabe look so old? What happened to the mountain of youth I used to know?
It's a Linux beard, sometimes called a Unix beard. Linux causes accelerated beard growth in men and legend holds that skill with *nix systems increases the longer and more well-kept your beard is (seriously, he got it once they started working on Steam for Linux full-time).
because in Japan no one likes PC gaming
They actually have a lot of PC games, most don't surprisingly consist of porn either, check them out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Vysethedetermined2/videos?view=0

33 DAYS! 33 Days till HL:3! Wohoho! [sp] Joking [/sp]
Fuck I wish platnium games had rights to their fucking clover studios games. God Hand is one of the best fucking games ever made period and a PC port would be so fucking amazing. Also I had no idea Shinji Mikami left platnium studios after directing vanquish, which is a shame because anything with Mikami's name in it is fucking amazing and oozes his style. Apparently he is directing his last game for ZaniMax. Fuck.
Gabe looks freakin awesome with that face hair
There's always one who takes it too far...
nice avatar
3DS could really use some more next gen ports. I'd like to see the hardware tested more than just on HD remakes of classic games.
Well fly me to the moon; this could be awesome.
