Doctor Facepunch, what's up with these rashes on my chest/groin?
26 replies, posted
I don't know what the hell is going on with my body, FP. Recently I've noticed these rashes on my chest, arms, and groin. And on those rashes are little red bumps, sometimes they itch and sometimes they don't. I've told my mom about it and she thinks it's a soap allergy, but today I didn't shower and I've got them again.
I've got two pictures, both from my right thigh.

I'm really freaking out over this, so I'm asking FP for help.
Allergic reaction? Ask a doctor, that looks pretty bad. I'd say it's a reaction from something. Is it painful at times?
If you're really concerned, you should visit a professional.
FP will always tell you it's cancer, flesh-eating bacteria, or that you're growing an extra ear.

I don't know when they started, and no they don't hurt. Sometimes they itch like the chicken pox but I had those a long time ago.
It's the sign of the chosen one. You are destined to save the world from the legions of internet trolls.
When did they start showing up?
I get rashes like that after I run for a while (like 8+ miles in boxers of the non-brief variety), but since It's on your chest as well I have no clue.

I guess about a week ago, I don't really recall that much.

They don't get bumpy on my chest, just red blotches and streaks. I run too for ROTC, I don't know if it's the material of the shirt or if I'm allergic to something.
It could be eczema. I had this a couple months ago, doctors give you a perscription of certain lotions and medications.
I'd suggest visiting a doctor. While waiting, try getting some Aveeno Eczema Therapy lotion from your local store. It helps the itching and makes the rashes less insane.
its zombie cancer
Rashes are a sign that something is in your body that it really, REALLY does not like.
Did you do try any new foods/toiletry products/whatever recently? Insect bites? etc. If it worries you that much, see a doctor...

...because this is the most common answer you are ever going to get.
House says its probably just Lupus.
I'm almost certain it's an allergic reaction. I recommend taking some benadryl and seeing how it looks in the morning.

If that doesn't help too much, definitely see a doctor. Try that lotion I mentioned as well.

That too. If you have had it for around a month now and your not having any internal body problems along with this rash, it's probably some sort of clothing/soap/etc you are using.
in the first picture looks like you have

it might be bacterial or an allergic reaction. see a doctor if it lasts longer than a couple of weeks
Have you recently changed laundry detergents or washed your clothes at a laundromat? I know several people at my college who have had something similar after using the dorm washing machine.

If it is Jock itch I recommend Tinactin liquid spray the stuff works wonders. Because athletes foot, jock itch, and ring worm are the same fungus you may get them around the same time; have you had any light red circles or "C" marks on your legs or arms?

No.
No.
Well that can be a sign of a fungal infection, the one that causes jock itch.
You're gonna die.
But seriously, never ask Facepunch for medical advice. All we can diagnose people with is death cancer. Health issues are best left to professionals.
Go see a doctor if you are unsure on what is wrong.
Whoa Jesus. Get some cream man.
This is on the early stages of developing autism.
sounds like eczema man, you should probably get it checked out, in the mean time keep yourself clean, was regularly and that kinda stuff. Also why did you ask fast threads, you're bound to get stupid answers.
RIP op
