• External HDD is NTFS formatted, need to gain write access

Before I got my laptop repaired I'd normally just run windows 90% of the time and switch into OS X to do editing, however when I got my laptop fixed I didn't have my windows disk handy so I ended up just getting used to OS X and I don't really see the need to waste hdd space on windows if I don't have to, and so far the only thing I can't seem to do on here is write to the drive. I can't really format it and convert it to HSF because it's a 1tb drive and there's under 100gb free so I'd pretty much lose ~900gb of shit.

Agreed with above, It's what I use.
