In a situation where you couldn't interfere or be effected by what was going on, Which event in history would you choose to see? I'd either choose to witness the moon landing "live" or the Streets of Rome at the height of the Empire.
I'd like to go back and see when the bible was created and what the deal was with it. Would be interesting.
The bible was written over a long period of time, then compiled. I dont know when that happened.
I would go back to watch, in no specific order, Apollo 11 launch, Apollo 11 landing, Tsar Bomba detonation, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and any grand prix raced in by one of the following: Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda.
Woodstock
Amen, Woodstock all the way.
no event in particular, but it'd be cool to experience daily roman life
Beta TF2 so I can get the grizzled primeval warrior medal. Jokes aside, Soviet Union circa 1950s, Roswell crash, or the rise and fall of Nazi Germany. Also ancient Rome.
The bible was written over a long period of time, then compiled. I dont know when that happened.
The bible started as just spoken stories passed down by the generations as they waited for the return of Jesus, when they realized that wasn't going to happen any time soon they started writing it all down. That's why it's accepted among bible scholars that there are some inconsistencies with in the bible.
The Titanic sinking I know what happens by the minute so I'd be able to easily plan my escape from the ship if I was trapped there.
the 1916 easter rising at the General Post Office(GPO) in Dublin, even though we lost on that day.
Pompeii, Stalingrad, Waterloo, Iwo Jima, 1700's America, any famous siege, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, 1950's America, 9/11, Alexander's conquests, the Moon Landing, anything where I get to be in space, Occupy Oakland (Historical enough), London during WWII, WWI trench warfare, Ancient Roman times, Ancient Greek times, The battle of Thermopolye(It's probably spelled wrong), Finland-Soviet conflict, The Hindenburg crashing, African tribal warfare, the taking of Machu Pichu by foreigners, the Titanic, Vancouver Riots, My birth, the eruption of Mount Saint Helens, Gold Rush era Alaska, Wild West in the 1800's, Medieval times, the beginning of time, anything with destruction.
The Crusades, all of them. I'd like to witness firsthand the thought process that lead to them.

EN GUARDE!
Crusades in a nutshell. :v:
The battle at Thermopylae. [editline]23rd August 2012[/editline] Also Da Vinci's life.
Not exactly a specific event, but I would have liked to see what life was like in the 80's.
It might sound foolish to some, but the breakdown of Nietzsche. He's a person I hold in very high esteem.
I'd like to visit the time when they invented chocolate.
The building of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
I'd like to see life in the 50 s
I would love to see the Apollo 11 mission.
I'm generally interested in frontier life in colonial America but specifically I'd love to witness the Lewis and Clark expedition into the west.
Everything ever.
Woodstock
I would also go back and visit Woodstock.
Definitely the 90s because that decade is the best decade for movies, games, TV and music. And maybe the times of ancient greece.
