North Korea .kp TLD Zone Data
On Sept 19, 2016 at approximately 10:00PM (PST), one of North Korea's top level nameservers was accidentally configured to allow global DNS zone transfers. This allows anyone who performs an AXFR (zone transfer) request to the country's ns2.kptc.kp nameserver can get a copy of the nation's top level DNS data. This was detected by the TL;DR Project - an effort to attempt zone transfers against all top level domain (TLD) nameservers every two hours and keep a running Github repo with the resulting data. This data gives us a better picture of North Korea's domains and top level DNS.
As of the time of this writing, zone transfers are still enabled for multiple .kp top level domains via ns2.kptc.kp.

Well, their university's website is almost more usable than mine.
Someone's getting sent to a death camp for this
knca.kp has some nice pictures of the big man

This is so bizarre to see.
Like the Internet of a madman.
Any domains from Facepunch's local North Korea apologists?
Just Read through some of the "News" Articles, the are fucking hilarious.

Wasn't only RAYHALO anything of an apologist, and on top of that didn't he admit to keeping up the gimmick because he was a troll?
None of them work for me now
Those are some fairly inexpensive flights
oh man now north korea has my IP
If I could get a decent translation, I'd like to see if there are any good recipes on the food website. Probably just basic Korean cuisine though.

Even if it's not perfect, we should support North Koreas resistance against imperialism.
Tankie out.
As niche as it sounds I hope someone can finally get the sports histories recorded somewhere reliable. Not just the decades of unknown football championships but coverage of events like Collision in Korea would offer a glimpse into their culture, the daily entertainment and the long term effects of foreign influence on sports.
Speaking of Collision in Korea, I urge people interested in North Korea or pro wrestling to give this article a read. The complete insanity and controlling nature of the North Korean government is bonkers when applied to a less serious event.
Loving all the late 90's website designs.
None of them work for me now
They all got linked to reddit so they probably killed them

Is Soccer really that popular in North Korea though? What sports do they play?
The cooking site is actually pretty fucking cool. I've refreshed it a few times and managed to cache the stylesheet and most of the images, and Google Translate actually does a fairly good job.
Ignoring the terrible regime controlling the country and the awful conditions they've been subjected to, North Koreans are merely one half of the divided Korean people, a people with just as proud a collection of cultural traditions and unique highlights and heritage as anyone else. And the best way to see the connection between cultures is to look at the food.

I'd eat that. That looks like something even middle-class North Koreans would be lucky to have on special occasions, but still.

Ginseng chicken, stuffed with probably lots of veggies. The presentation isn't the most elegant but that sounds delicious.

This is a holiday dish, and I bet it's tasty.
Google Translate sometimes does interesting things, though:

Here's how to make Drugs (basically ginger-cinnamon frybread/donuts), btw, with Best Korean original on the right for comparison:

I'm a horrible person because this made me snort laughing, but oh god this bad translation is a work of art.

From what I can gather, soccer, various martial arts and whatever the "in" sport is with the government such as basketball or ice hockey. They are also big into those choreographed shows that a whole stadium participates in, it's madness that 150,000 people perform for a few hundred officials and the propaganda reels.

North Korea is like a museum of soviet madness. They did this crazy shit in the soviet union as well. Hard to imagine that half of Europe used to live like this
I'm just intrigued NK even had a charity for education/social security. Though to where it funnels would still be investigatable, yes?
The surreal style of the North Korean news format never fails to weird me out.
It's always Kim Jong Il/Kim Jong Un standing inspecting something mundane, miscellaneous thing and laughing cheerfully, with a bunch of generals hurriedly running around him smiling and clapping nervously. Every single picture.
I've done a lot of research into NK's technology. They have an intranet called Kwangmyong and the OS they push to the public "tags" files that are opened so they can identify the origin computer. Was a fun RE project, found quite a few internal NK servers.

It never reached to this level of insanity in any Warsaw Pact country.
was hoping for a pornhub.xxx.kp

don't forget the guy decked in medals 4x kim's age who probably knows a lot more about stuff than him, furiously taking notes like a 15 year old japanese anime student
