First time, obviously.
Any tips other than don't crash/die?

People are idiots.
Don't die... <3
Look out for cyclists running red lights and undertaking you when you've stopped.
Dont play too much videogames or watch internet before driving.
You're going to crash and die.

Bye.
It's piss easy, just don't get nervous.
Don't step on the brake. Ease into it.
remember to wear a seatbelt
It's easier than it seems.
Unless you're driving automatic. Then it should easier than taking a walk
It was fun. Then scary. Then fun again.
The instructor said I was too relaxed.. since my head was always on the cushion..
Videogames told me that you can crash into a tree at 100mph and not injure yourself. Try it.

Driving the vehicle itself is the easy part. Being on the road with other drivers is the hard part. You need to watch for what they're going to do next, and of course keep your own actions in check.

If you're more than 2 car lengths away from a yellow light, you can legally cross it and tell your instructer that you were traveling with too fast a speed to could safely stop.

Slamming on brakes isn't a terrible offense. It won't keep you from getting your license.
Now, failure to yield and other things will.
Staying calm is key, make sure you're attentive when driving and not in an angry/bad mood
