It is unclear whether Cooper will make his villainous turn in this film or in a sequel.
I don't really care about these films but still, was curious to see who'd take on Dafoe's role from the original trilogy. So now they've got Paul Giammati playing the Rhino, Jamie Foxx playing Electro, and Chris Cooper playing Green Goblin. Jeez they're really piling them all on here, but I doubt we'll see any of the Green Goblin in this film since I'm pretty sure Electro is the main villain. Probably post-credits.
I feel like all these casting decisions are absolutely horrible.
I think Dane will work well as a brooding Harry.
The reboot is alot better than I expected
I really hope they use some form of Ultimate Goblin to keep somewhat consistent with the "cross-species" theme.
Well, the first one was pretty fun. Could be good.
Hopefully this one wont be an EXACT movie as the sam rami one.
He's a good actor, why are people so disappointed and miserable all the time...
The reboot is alot better than I expected
It was alright, its no masterpiece
Actually, I don't know. Chris Cooper is actually pretty good at playing the slightly cold, always disappointed dad type that probably cares more about his business than he does his son. Anyone who's seen October Sky can probably know that. He definitely COULD play Norman Osborne as I've always interpreted him Now, I don't know if he could pull the pure, cackly evil that the Goblin has, though. If anything he would have made a pretty good Doc Ock just because he doesn't come across as psycho-insane when he's actually evil.
People probably haven't seen Adaptation, he was good in that, not just the average supporting role.
I am rather pleased to read this.
So... Electro, Rhino, and potentially Green Goblin will be in Amazing Spider-Man 2? Did they learn nothing from Spider-man 3?
aww, i wish they casted Michael Massee for Norman (from the [sp]end credits scene of the first one[/sp]). had a dafoe-ish voice going on and even looks a bit like him.

Did they learn nothing from Spider-man 3?
I was disappointed how much stuff was missing in Amazing Spider-Man. No JJ Jamison, no Harry Osbourne, and very little Norman himself. And it also makes me wonder if they'll try to add this film to the Avengers canon.
Cooper, Fox and Giammati? That won't be that bad actually.

Also, if they do put JJJ in this one, they better get C.K. Simmons to do him again.
He's a good actor, why are people so disappointed and miserable all the time...
Because Willem Dafoe.
Looks a lot like the Raimi suit.
didn't know film directors designed superhero costumes..
Who knows...maybe he won't even be Green Goblin. That'd be a not-retarded way to keep this reboot separate from the original three
Who knows...maybe he won't even be Green Goblin. That'd be a not-retarded way to keep this reboot separate from the original three
Considering the connection between the Green Goblin and Gwen Stacy, that's definitely not gonna happen. They're probably just gonna save it for part 3 since this one already has two villains in it (and whoever that shadow guy was at the end of the first one, since that apparently wasn't Osborn)
[sp] I'm still ticked Denis Leary's character died in the first [/sp] I'd never looked into the alt spiderman universe so i wasn't aware of it
I feel like all these casting decisions are absolutely horrible.
How the hell is paul giamatti a bad casting decision man he's such a good actor
I'm hoping they don't botch Gwen's death in this movie (Sony already confirmed her death iirc). I also hope that they use the "Gwen cheated on Peter with Norman" bit in the next movie just to see how people react.
Looks a lot like the Raimi suit.
Does anyone else think it's a bit odd that they're changing the suit design? Although, I must admit that I prefer this design. The other suit looked way too technical.
Somewhat off-topic, but am I the only one that preferred the older Spiderman movies? Ignoring some of the idiotic decisions of the third one, the first two movies were fucking excellent. The third was OK despite the emo bullshit.

Though I'm probably just biased because I saw them first and got used to them.
I really loved Dafoe's portrayal...
How the hell is paul giamatti a bad casting decision man he's such a good actor
A good actor? Yes. A good guy to play this thing I'm thinking not fantastic.
