So I found a good conditioned PlayStation 1 with the case intact in my closet earlier today and I don't know what I should do with it since the disk reader is fucked up. I'm thinking about throwing it around my backyard until it breaks since it holds literally no value or throwing it into my neighbors pool. Any ideas? Never really had an interest for it anyway and it's ancient. >> Glad that -Matt-94 decided to nonchalantly rate me dumb even though I was asking what I should do with it, not immediately saying I'm going to do those 2 things.
How can a PS1 be in good condition if the disk reader is fucked up?

It looks nice but it doesn't work? sell it on ebay
Dude sell it for parts and get some money for games. Sounds like you're a teenager and I know there's nothing teens love to do more than play video games all day.

I couldn't find the cords either.

If it doesn't work, turn the PS1 into a modded case for a computer or another console.
masturbate on it then sell it on eBay, or better yet Craigslist
stick a raspberry pi in it and replace the disc reader with the disc reader for a PC.
I still got an original fat PS2 from the first day release. Still runs and works like a fucking champ, they don't make hardware like they used too. Though you can easily replace the disk reader on that ps1, go on ebay and find parts. Seeing as they're a dime a dozen it shouldn't be hard.
Put it up on craigslist and sell it to someone. Don't answer their texts when they ask you why it doesn't work. Remember to meet them at their house not yours, so they can't come find you. I (sort of) did this once with a video card I had not designed for 64 bit systems. In the ad I put up for it, I blatantly fucking said it wouldn't work for 64 bit systems. Sold it to some stupid kid for $110 (I bought it for $75. Haha what) and he texts me like 15 minutes later "Did you have trouble running this card on Windows 7?" Fucking ignored him.

Well, decided to save it for use and maybe sale! PS1 is a genuine console, can't throw it away. I think I'll maybe get it repaired off of funds of selling some older shit that I don't use anymore.

I wish I got that lucky with my PS2. I've had to adjust it a few times now but still trucks.
