Isolation is starting to look more and more promising!
Be cool, and spooky, if you find a mangled and still operating android. Ash and David were pretty unnerving when they continued to function despite the massive damage they took.
Good graphics. Check.
Goes more into isolated experience, rather than shooting things. Check.
Absence of fucking Randy Pitchford. Check.
Count me in.
I don't see how they're going to have a dynamic 9 foot tall alien that actually searches for you, without it being scripted. Amnesia wanted it to be the same, and it just spawned in random places, gave you a sound warning of where it was.. Then you just hid till it went away. It didn't search, it just stood, roamed, and vanished into some place.
Remember guys, as cool as this looks, wait for the reviews before buying it, else we have a repeat of Colonial Marines.
I rEALLY REALLY need a good Alien game already. :<

the 'bug hunt' DLC for Colonial Marines is actually really good because takes the best features of CoD zombies without any gimmicky fluff - the problem is that main game itself is mediocre at best.
whoa, they improved the hand model a lot since the last batch of screenshots and gameplay
Does the boxed copy include diapers?
Can't wait to get a Rift and play this with it. Gonna have to go pick up some spare pants beforehand though.
The idea of having just one Xenomorph was kinda "eh.." to me at first, but holy shit. This sure looks good.
Maybe we'll finally have a good, proper Aliens game this time. :D
Could we have a Ash android for once? I'm getting tired of seeing Bishop.
Please don't turn out like Colonial Marines...
Guys lets all preorder it because we know it looks awesome right guys? ..guys?
I like that they're maintaining the retro 70's sci-fi look. I'll reserve judgement until some playable footage or a demo is released. My confidence in the game however was boosted a little when I watched their first "making of" video on the website. They seem passionate and knowledgeable of the first film which is encouraging.
I will continue to remain cautiously optimistic.
I dont see why anyone should be worried that Colonial Marines will happen again, you'd think Sega would be fucking HAWKING over the devs after the money redirecting bullshit Gearbox pulled.
I'm not really into the aliens IP at all but when they revealed this they pretty much got all the press into a conference room, said "Yeah okay how about you guys just play it" and let them at it for an hour. It sounds really, really awesome.
Apparently the alien AI is really damn smart. Like, it learns your patterns of hiding from it and stuff and will try and fake-out to get you to screw up and expose yourself.
One of the interesting things I heard was how the actual setting looks so much more real than other games because everything is made to actual human scale, which means it doesn't feel video-gamey. Like, you actually feel like you are playing a five foot six (or whatever) sized person where the doors are pretty much to the exact scale and size you'd expect other doors to be in real life, along with items like clutter/desks/chairs/size of rooms and halls/etc all being so to-real-life scale that is makes the setting not feel video gamey.

Apparently this game has been in development for like 7 years too but they just never revealed it because it was clearly being done for next gen (and they couldn't show that) and when A:CM came out they didn't want to show off another aliens game so close to a disaster.
I don't care how bad it is. I will still get it. And if they end up adding rift support, it'll be the best experience for an Aliens fan such as myself.

Oh god that sounds terrifying.
I want it.
If this game is going to be completely silent and have no soundtrack that is going to make it absolutely fucking terrifying.
One of the things that scares me a lot is dead silence.
I can just imagine it being utterly silent then you go down a dark hallway and hear a thumping noise getting closer and closer to you every moment.

Doesn't seem like that will be the case.
The music shifts dynamically as these scenarios manifest themselves, going from thematic, extended scores during moments of relative calm to the hauntingly shrill and nerve-shredding violin screech that pervades the original Alien soundtrack.
But considering most games have separate volume controls for things like music, voice, and effects, I imagine you'll be able to turn just the music off.

Something to do with still not trusting Sega because of Shadow the Hedgehog
