Hello all, I had to replace a few components. When i get it back it stated i need to put in my windows 7 disc. I do that select start from drive in BIOS restart, and it doesn't recognize the disc and skips load from drive. Any ideas to whats going on?

And is the disc scratched?
Have you checked if the SATA cable is plugged in properly?
I mean, it's obvious but I spent 1 hour troubleshooting last time it happened to me :saddowns:

nope, didn't work. SATA cable is plugged in properly.
well im officially lost, any suggestions
did you make sure that your dvd drive is first boot in bios?
Switch the hard drive into another computer and insert your windows 7 disc into that one..Then when its done...switch it back and hope that your computer is able to use the drive when windows 7 is working.
Go to advancd BIOS settings and set your pc to boot to from CD-rom
