Just thought I'd make this thread for everyone to discuss guitars. We seem to have plenty of guitarists on FP and there's definitely plenty of threads about guitar purchasing advice and the like.
Sorry, no real content about guitars (I think everyone knows what they are) but as the title says, feel free to freely discuss anything guitar related.
I'll start I suppose, I have my eye on a Jackson, which is a great for the price, but I've sort of been leaning towards and ESP (a proper one not a LTD) because they're just so cool, even just the plain black superstrat style ones, they're awesome, but expensive. I'll probably end up with the Jackson because it's nice and it's not a bad guitar by any means, but I will always love the ESPs.
I also want a Boss MT-2 pedal, but there's loads of other Boss Distortion pedals, I'm wondering whether any of the others will be more suiting to my needs (want a good thrashing, good for power chords but also good for solos sound. Maybe like early Metallica, or even recent Metallica) Anybody got experience with Boss' distortion range? And don't go yelling at me telling me to get a Metal Muff, I heard them and played on them, they're okay, not my style really.
Enjoy. Also feel free to post your guitar(s)!

I'm thinking of getting this for playing general metal and rock. Is it good?
Ibanez guitars always look really fancy :x
I like guitars, here's mine:

Looks pretty good, must admit I've never seen it in action.
One thing is though, the Jackson guitar I'm getting comes with either a standard bridge or a tremolo, and I'm going for the standard because the tremolo one goes out of tune very quickly (even with the locking nuts) Plus I don't really need a Tremolo arm.
I have an Ibanez (my first and only guitar so far) and it really is excellent, Ibanez are definitely a trusted guitar brand.
I have a Gibson Explorer, i put some emg's in that bad boy for metal :P

and also i have an old Ibanez not sure wat type tho..
for pedals i have...

this bad johnson! the only pedal i ever needed hate screwing around with effects.
Ah, good old guitar, who's your favorite guitarist guys? Alex Lifeson is mine.
I'm looking to buy a PRS SE Custom 22 by the end of the year. The specs seem pretty good, but is it worth the €600 or can I get a better metal guitar for the money?

I have a BOSS ML-2 Metalcore and its pretty good, gives me a real nice chuggity chug kinda sound and also a fairly nice lead sound. It took a bit of tweaking of my amp and the pedal, but it sounds pretty good when you get it right :)
I used to love the Gibson Explorer, it was like my dream guitar. But I played it at a shop, it's okay.

Also this is the jackson I'm going to get, but I'll get it in transparent black, not dark forest (as pictured)

Mine's an Ibanez RG350EX. Also got a Fender Gemini 2 which is a piece of shit, and a gypsy guitar thing that's falling apart, it's just got CSL on its headstock. Nylon strings and it sounds bloody brilliant but it has a makeshift bridge because the original one broke.

I also have an Ibanez RG350EX, bought it on Thursday, real nice guitar.
I also have a Custom Spear Les Paul (made by the same people that create Epiphone), got it loaded with a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in the bridge and the matching 59' in the neck. (Actually looking to sell this guitar, as I prefer the Ibanez feel personally, so if anyone wants some details pm me :D UK buyers only please).
It's got a beautiful carved mahogany body, here is a picture of it:

That's before I changed the pickups.
Current guitar is :frown: so i'll just put a pic of what I want.
Ah, good old guitar, who's your favorite guitarist guys? Alex Lifeson is mine.
Alex Lifeson is great, but I got plenty of favourite guitarists.
Adam Jones, John Frusciante, Tom Morello, quite a bit more but those 3 stand out to me.

My current guitar isn't really anything special, but gets the job done.

Epiphone G-310

I hope to save up for a Les Paul of some sort in the future, right now my money is needed elsewhere.
Oh, perfect, I have a slightly guitar-related question.
I don't know if anyone here uses Guitar Pro, but it's a really great tab program that I use to learn songs.
However, I'm trying to learn to play Sweet Child o Mine all the way through right now, but since the guitar starts right away, I have trouble hitting space and then getting my hands ready to play right away.
Does anyone know how to add a delay before Guitar Pro starts playing?
Also, my guitar:

It's a strat, not a squire.

I have Guitar Pro, but I don't know much about it. It's great for helping my figure out the rhythm to a song, when normal tabs don't seem enough.

Me rapeing your ear pussies
I always preferred teles to strats, I see the strat way too much
Been thinking of getting a nice guitar for some Alt rock type stuff for awhile now, My jackson just doesn't have the right tone.

The Orion bits were pretty good
The rest was okay, a little sloppy
I mean, better than I could do offhand, but could still use some work.

Teles are sooo nice compared to strats. The strat is so overused.
I have a Faded Gibson SG (cost like $500 less) and a Telecaster Thinline. I play blues and rock. I want to get into jazz.
I've been slacking on my guitar playing a lot lately. I really need to start again.

Blind Lemon Jefferson? Robin Trower? Johnny Winter?
I just got a Johnny Winter Album Nothing But Blues or something. It's sick

I'll probably get an electric at sometime, just don't have the money right now.
I'm thinking one of these:

The Epiphone copy of the ES-335 that Roy Orbison used.
