• Thinking of a new, quieter CPU Cooling System. Any recommendations?

Reposting this in the correct section: The fan that came with my CPU is, was, and always has been loud, ever since I first started up my custom build. I've learned to ignore it, but anyone who comes into my room when I'm on my computer usually makes it a point to complain that it's really loud. So after almost a year I've decided that now's a good time to look into getting a new cooling system for my computer. I have enough money, and if things get a little too expensive I'll be getting a nice load of Christmas money at the end of the month. So if anyone has a recommendation for a quieter form of cooling that costs around $100 I'd appreciate it. Some helpful info: Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black (AM3 socket) Motherboard: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD motherboard
if you want quiet there's noctua's coolers like the NH-D14 or NH-U12P, but for a 965 there's not much point spending that much you'd be better off with a 212 Evo look into any fan speed controls your board may have
If you really want quiet, get one of the corsair closed loop CPU coolers. I don't know how quiet their radiators actually are though

It's so much quieter now, even when I'm playing games on my computer. And since it was only 34 bucks for a new one on Newegg... well, thanks for the suggestion. It's working out well so far.
