i bought tritton ax pro. now do i need a sound card for my pc?
No, you do not *need* a soundcard to use a headset.
The motherboard one will do fine.
well i know i dont NEED lol sorry, but it does help? i got a 5.1surround sound headset, and idk if it sound clearer with a sound card, sence i found one on sale for good price!
I never understood 5.1 headsets. 5.1 means 5 speakers and a sub. How much was said headset?
$170us
I believe it's "simulated" 5.1, Don't ask me how that works cause I don't know.
If its USB, you don't need a new sound card.
Is there even anything called, a gaming headset.
well its just headset. i use for gaming.
Can we have some more information on it?

...so you spent that much on a headset without knowing what you were getting or weather it'd even work with your PC... By the looks of things that does look like it has a USB cable, so if you wanted to you could just plug it right into the PC without needing a sound card. It also looks like it has the good old 3.5mm jacks which either go into the motherboard's integrated soundcard or a dedicated sound card if you have it. Just mess around with the cables and see if you can get something to work.
obv its gonna work no matter what, i been useing it. but i figured a sound card would help bring out better sound and quality in it.
