I've noticed recently in my Megaton house, Wadsworth (the robot butler you get) has stopped moving. If I exit and enter, load, wait, etc., he still just sits in the same spot. If I move around, he just stands there. If I attack him, he moves, but obviously this isn't an efficient method. Looking on the Fallout 3 Wiki, some people are experiencing this glitch too, so it's not just me it seems.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Robot butler...? How does he affect the game except giving free water. I wouldnt worry.

I want to make sure I don't have some AI code fuck up. If one part of the AI code is glitched, the entire code could be.
Update the game.

It's on Steam. Fully patched.
Like I said, I think a few other people have my same problem (him not moving), but no one's ever posted solutions to them, so I can't use them for reference.
Yea same problem. Its fine.. EXCEPT HE IS IN THE DOORWAY TO MY BEDROOM!
Hmm, well its been a while since i've played it. I've completed it you see :smug:
But i do recall characters being glitched like that, i seriously doubt there is a fix if there is a glitch like that.

Other people reported this same thing, either along the lines of "He's stuck and won't move except for very rarely. He used to move though."
Or, more serious. "He's stuck in my bed, I can't move him, and now I can't use my bed."
This glitch may be more widespread than I thought.
Do a save before you do this but when that happened to me, I punched him a couple of times to get him hostile and had him chase after me a bit. Left the house and came back to it a few "days" later and he was flying around as normal.
i doubt that him not moving will not be an obstacle.
Like you said, Part of the AI code is messed up the entire ai code could be messed up. If that was the case, you would either have to fix it yourself, have someone else fix it, or redownload it.
Basically what i'm saying is if it's a large problem then you won't find out until later, so just play on and hope for the best.

this is actually a really good idea
kudos to you, Mrdark
I think he just does that after awhile.
My Wadsworth stopped moving after a few days.
Haven't noticed any other abnormalities. It should be fine.
He lies right by the front door (inside).
I don't mind, he doesn't block anything.
And he still tells the funniest jokes...
So two cannibals are eating a clown, one cannibal turns to the other and says, "Does this taste funny to you?"

Well yeah, but he'll cut your hair and give you a beard/mustache if you want. Plus, he tells jokes. And goddammit he's a robot butler.
