Hi
I've installed Windows 7 32-bit a couple a days ago, and I just realized that it's maximum supported RAM is 4 GB (or about) and was planing to do a RAM upgrade (more than 4GB) and I was just wondering, if I upgrade to 64-bit, will my system get unstable, or will I be unable to run some programes that I would be able to run on the 32-bit version?
64 bit is fine. You won't be able to play 16 bit stuff "natively" but that's it. Oh and some of your hardware might not have drivers (probs will though)
Thanks!

Afaik, 16bit support even is cancelled for 32 bit.
Anyway: The main purpose for x64 is huger possible ram while still being able to run 32 bit apps at the same time. So use 64bit.
Who the hell needs 16 bit anymore anyways? Use a virtual PC if really needed.

Also there should be a sticky like "Get 64 bit"
Having to get 64-bit drivers is the only thing I don't like about it. For most things, there are 64-bit drivers, but once I wanted to update my graphing calculator for whatever reason but Texas Instruments only had 32-bit drivers. It sucked, but it wasn't enough to get me to switch to 32-bit.
Also, Razer's firmware updater was 32-bit only back when I used my Deathadder.
Edit:
Oh the TI driver wasn't just for updating the calculator's OS, it also meant I couldn't link my calculator to my PC at all. Kind of lame.
I have yet to come across driver problems.
