It's frustrating to see a highly reviewed product and then just see nearly every 5 star review be posted by an account which has given 5 stars to pretty much everything.

Can we PLEASE disallow reviews on pre-orders?? Its like, you have no way in hell of having a valid opinion on this product, you know nothing about it. I'm so fucking sick of seeing 300 reviews on a movie that hasn't come out yet, especially when every review is "5 stars can't wait the cast is so good i love NPH can he please have my progressive babies" It distorts the response to the product before its even released and is a pain in the ass to filter out.

amazon doesn't let you review preorders
Star rating are confusing, they should also give a simpler choice option like "good/neutral/bad"
yeah it's always confused me why google dumped the star ratings on videos for being too unclear and yet amazon uses it for reviews that are way more important and relevant to the end user than whether or not a video is good
If I buy the thing and it does what I expected it to do I leave a 5 star rating. :v:
should have to wait a week to preorder it seeing a lot of cases where the product didn't ship on time so someone will rate it a 1
yeah it's always confused me why google dumped the star ratings on videos for being too unclear and yet amazon uses it for reviews that are way more important and relevant to the end user than whether or not a video is good
It's still too big of a hassle, on ebay I don't give a 4 star rating to some seller, either I had problems or I did not, no need to rate it like "oh yeah the shipping was great but idk the description was weird looking 4 stars"
I basically only rate 4-3 stars if it had a few minor problems, 5 means it did work perfectly and nothing was wrong. Anything less and it didn't work. EX - buy CNC machine, doesn't do all the materials I want yet same price as another one that does with little more features, 3/5 (hey it was cheap) EX - buy digital caliper, it's calibrated correctly. 5 stars.
For movies, they could have seen it in a theatre.
True, but you never see those reviews. All you see are people 5-starring or 1-starring it saying "THIS IS GONNA ROCK" or "THIS WILL BURN AND FAIL BECAUSE OBAMA" [editline]28th November 2016[/editline]
I basically only rate 4-3 stars if it had a few minor problems, 5 means it did work perfectly and nothing was wrong. I find it a bit annoying when you get a review from someone who bought something off Amazon but it's through a reseller and got a fake, then giving it 1 stars. There has to be a filter by seller option. Everything I have bought off Amazon so far has been stuff that is fulfilled by Amazon and never from third party sellers since it is usually cheaper in general with faster shipping.
Amazon reviews just seem quite poorly thought out in the first place. Recently i was thinking about buying a new mouse and was looking at some of the well-reviewed ones there, only to see that those reviews were for an entirely different mouse than the one for sale. The item had changed entirely but as it was still under the same listing, those reviews are still there, despite them not applying to the current product. So even though people had left good reviews, they were completely irrelevant. I only noticed it because some of them had posted pictures of what they got and it wasn't the same thing.

I only bother looking st the average score - for products, services, restaurants. Etc. There's no point looking st the reviews themselves. You work in customer service long enough and realise that 90% of bad reviews on s product are down to the user not knowing how to use it. With restaurants its more tricky, but I can totally understand that staff members can have rough nights. And some people just have overly high expectations or go through life looking for excuses to take offence.

Time to move on to what good people have to say about it. also [t]http://i.imgur.com/h81S40k.png[/t] ^^^ This so much ^^^

Like people goddamn should instead of just going for positive or negative like they have ADHD and speeding a minute on the review is waaay too much.
was looking for a case the other day and found this review.
I saw a review once where the guy bought an iPhone case and rated it 1/5 stars because it was too small for his Galaxy S6 Like some people are actually this retarded
