The crash happened near Seattle on Tuesday morning. The person shooting the video said he could feel the heat from the fire from half a block away. The man recognized it as a Telsa as he drove directly in front of the car.
(vertical video syndrome alert below)
At least the fuel tank won't explode.
I guess you could call it a fire sale. [editline].[/editline]
Tesla also stressed the fact that the driver escaped unharmed.
Time to buy stock!
What, Tesla cars aren't fireproof?? Better get my money out quick
Time to buy stock!
If you're ready to pay ~$172, sure: https://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ%3ATSLA&ei=yN5NUtigMa60iALSBQ
At least the fuel tank won't explode.
Lithium burns violently when combined with water.
I guess you could call it a fire sale.
No.
Meanwhile fuel cars can also burst into flames, and have a chance to explode, especially on an low gas tank. Once our cars engine burst into flames for no discernible reason.
A single Tesla car burns after an accident and everyone shits their pants, meanwhile Lamborghinis catch on fire almost daily and noone cares.
Lithium burns violently when combined with water.
Yes, but lithium-ion batteries don't contain metallic lithium. That's not to say the batteries cannot catch fire, but so can gasoline vehicles (and does so on a scale of tens of thousands every month, just in the US).
Another video made by petrolium companies
Spontaneous combustion is the future of the automotive industry.
A single Tesla car burns after an accident and everyone shits their pants, meanwhile Lamborghinis catch on fire almost daily and noone cares.
Lamborghni have been around since 1963, Tesla Motors has been around since 2003. Trust is the key in stock prices and amount of articles about fires between the two.
Lamborghni have been around since 1963, Tesla Motors has been around since 2003. Trust is the key in stock prices and amount of articles about fires between the two.
so lambo's have had problems since 1963 peoples trust is not based on fact

that's actually pretty impressive that the fire was contained to only the front of the car...
Time to buy stock!
Back off that's my fucking stocks [editline]3rd October 2013[/editline] I'm going to assume the radiator malfunctioned? If it was the battery the whole car would be on fire rather than just the front. The only thing up front is the batteries radiator and a trunk. It could also be something the owner had stored in there. [editline]3rd October 2013[/editline] Significant damage from frontal collision. I'm still not sure why the fire would be contained to the front.
I'm sure Tesla will look into the problem, whatever caused it. Last thing you want in such a new product is big design flaw.

http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/10/02/highway-fire-of-tesla-model-s-included-its-lithium-battery/?_r=0
In an e-mail on Wednesday, a Tesla spokeswoman, Elizabeth Jarvis-Shean, said the fire was caused by the “direct impact of a large metallic object to one of the 16 modules within the Model S battery pack.”
Man he must have crashed that fucker hard.
I'm sure Tesla will look into the problem, whatever caused it. (Don't ask me how though, driver must have gone over something on the road I suppose). [editline]4th October 2013[/editline]
Man he must have crashed that fucker hard.
If there was something on the road I suppose it could have struck the battery from below? Dunno though, this ends up being speculation, which helps nobody.
Back off that's my fucking stocks
That picture fits it so well.
so what you're saying is the iceberg opened up just the right compartments to allow the water to effectively drag down the rest of the ship
It's like that scene in The Patriot where Mel Gibson rams an American flag through a horses belly.
And only 3 days ago I bought $97'000 in virtual stock. Fack
And only 3 days ago I bought $97'000 in virtual stock. Fack
You should've jumped on that wagon 6-10 months ago.
And only 3 days ago I bought $97'000 in virtual stock. Fack
it's this panicky "shit the ship is sinking and I'm only going to lose money!" attitude that drops stocks on trivial shit. Tesla is going to keep growing and be around for a long while can you imagine having the opportunity to have invested the equivalent of that money in any of the current car manufacturers when they were just barely getting on their feet
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ROuiy7v.png[/t]
Man I was wanting to buy a few hundred dollars worth back in April when it was around 36 a share just to stick my foot in the stock market door, but couldn't dig up enough to jump in just yet. Then that explosion happens and now I don't even want to know what it could've been worth.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ROuiy7v.png[/t]
Im so confident on Tesla succeeding. Wish i had the cash to buy a single share. Watch the value double. Just watch.
