PS1 Controller analog button problem (Dualshock 1)

Hey guys! I recently bought an adapter for my PC that lets me use my PS1 controllers on it.
I have 2 controllers. The first one works perfectly including the analog sticks.
But the second one's analog just doesn't want to activate. The button was kind of loose and it wasn't clicking like it should.
I opened it up and found out there's some little transparent plastic thing that activates the analog sticks. It was broken.
Fortunately the broken part was there so I glued it back like how it should be, I assembled the controller again, but it still didn't work.
It was still not clicking like it should but it wasn't loose anymore. All the other buttons work except the analog one.
I checked if it wasn't just the lamp fucked up, but it wasn't that. So I wanted to ask, does anyone know how to force analog on on a PS1 dualshock, or atleast how do I fix it?

Alright, I'll try that and I'll report back.
Someone's gonna search for the same exact problem in a few years, this thread will pop up, and only frustration will come out of it. Happens all the time.

What, someone will want to use a PS1 controller on a PC in 4 years?

Its a hardware issue with the controller itself. Using it on the PC is just Op's specific use case. I'm sure somebody will be looking at how to fix a dualshock1 controller at some point.

People want to use NES controllers on PCs now.
Guess we could.confirm that it was fixed?
I guess it worked since he never came back :v:
Not really since I haven't had the time. I've been on a tight schedule but now I can actually check it out.
Well I opened it up and immedieately thought "Wow shit what do I do?" I really don't want to fuck with the circuit board as I don't want to break it. I'll see what thing I can use as a conductive metal and hopefully don't make the controller shit itself.
