• upgrade for e8400

I'm looking for an update for my gfs rig.I recently upgraded to a gtx 970 and put my old 770 in there, oddly enough it gets 97% usage in mostly all of my benches, but I still feel it's getting held back. it currently has a e8400 and a ecs mobo so updating to a q9550 is out of the question, what's the most worthwhile upgrade for her rig, that isn't too pricy, and possibly a micro atx board? I'd also like to stick with a cooler Intel processor, as well, since it's in a smaller case
you will get a huge performance boost if you change the CPU+Motherboard.
Nothing really worth while. You should probably upgrade her motherboard and CPU and possibly ram if it isn't DDR3. Got a budget?
I want to clairify a bit- I already put my gtx 770 in there, the e8400 is the highest socket for the mobo, and the ram is ddr2. But, My budget would probably be at max 300$
Yeah still your still better off upgrading the motherboard, ram and CPU here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/C4PHrH
This.
Looking for a bit more power, thinking of getting a 4560 and a cheaper mobo.
