I work for a company that goes to families to fix their PC's and i have had a few cases already where the update fucked up their PC by being unable to boot.
My Windows8 installed 8.1 and 10 files long time ago and I can't do anything about it, along side a metric ton of stupid apps that I never asked for that are in folders that suggest it is from Windows Store.

Haven't tried it or looked in to it because I have somehow figured out how to completely fuck the update system so hard that my Windows 8.1 doesn't even know Windows 10 exists. Back when they started sending out messages about prereserving Windows 10 and such, mine was completely unaware, despite being up to date. Which I'm happy about.
This actually just happened to the laptop at work yesterday. My coworker turned it on and it just went ahead and installed the os.
