So my phone today just decides to die at the most in-opportune moment I can think of. (LG Rumor 2 = biggest pile of shit ever created). Anyway, I was stuck with Solo Mobile for 2 years because of the contract, but I really want to switch. They always charge me for long distance and internet usage even though I NEVER FUCKING GO ON THAT PHONE BROSWER. But, I digress. I live in Canada and would like a nice, new phone with the best of the worst providers. Budget with contract is around $150. PS. Would like a plan that was the same price as my current plan ($25/mth.), but I can possibly go to $30/mth. [editline]19th November 2010[/editline] Here is what is wrong with the old phone: Also, on a side note: My laptop (MSI GX640-260US) always has the sleep light CONSTANTLY on or blinking. For those who don't know, there are three LED lights on the bottom right, one for power, one for charging activity and one with a moon (so I assume sleep). What could cause this?
Return the phone if it is broken.
-snip- automerge broke so I put into OP Also, to cosmic duck: I'm not retarded, but that doesn't even come close to answering the OP.
Sorry but i don't know anything about canadian phone tariffs, but it seemed to me like you want a new phone, returning the broken phone would be a good first step. Don't you think?

Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 2. HTC 7 Surround 3. Blackberry Bold 9780 4. Blackberry Torch 9800 5. [on the very verge of "no"]: iPhone 4, some other android device
Galaxy S

[on the very verge of "no"]: iPhone 4, some other android device
The HTC 7 Surround got some pretty harsh reviews. Mainly because it has the bulk of a QWERTY slider, but you get a shitty speaker instead of a keyboard. If you're looking at WP7 devices try the Mozart or Omnia 7 instead.
Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate I'd stay away from the BlackBerries unless you absolutely need BBM or a hardware keyboard. I'd also stay away from the first crop of Windows Phone 7 devices to avoid being an early adopter.
Seems like a very one-sided consensus...exactly how I thought it would turn out too. Also, I sent in the other phone for repairs...let's hope for the best.
I'm pretty sure you can't get a Nokia N8 on contract in neither Canada nor U.S, so I guess it's out of question. I recommend you getting a solid Android handset. And to commenters about the Nokia N8, uless you've tried it, don't even think of writing anything about.
Don't jew out on phones if you're going on a contract, get the nicest phone available no matter what. Don't get one of those piss-poor Android budget phones because they always run 1.6 and they're outdated by a year anyways.

For the phone, there should be a troubleshooting guide in the manual. If you tried those and none worked, there should be a number for the customer services, if else fails, well that'll be a problem.
