• Voice Artists Needed!

Hello everyone, today I come to you asking for assistance. For the past 3/4 years I have been doing online radio, presenting a show called Hall's Variety Pack and recently I have started broadcasting a weekly show on Mixlr going out every Saturday from 7pm GMT and in a few week's time the is show is going to have a major refresh with a greater focus on media and entertainment and as part of this I am looking for voice artists to record lines for it; this is to help give the show a greater sense of brand identity as well as make it a lot tighter and professional sounding a show. And that is why I am here, I'm looking for volunteers to help me out by recording lines for the show (Stuff like "You're Listening to..." "Coming up Next It's..." ect.) all you need is a good speaking voice and a decent quality microphone, the tone and style of how you do it is up to you; you could do it as a film trailer voice or in a particular accent or just your own speaking voice, whatever style or styles you want to do you can do so long as it sounds killer! The Deadline for this is the 20th of June and the successful candidate(s) will be contacted on the 23rd and shortly after that will be asked to record material for the show. Of course from this I may contact you now and again to do the odd line, hell I may get you on a guest host or contributor in time. Now to help level things out have have prepared a few lines for you to do for your sample: "Broadcasting Live From 7pm til 9pm It's Chris Hall with Hall's Variety Pack" "It's Saturday, It's 7pm, It's Hall's Variety Pack" "Got something to say? Hit us up on Facebook!" "Coming up next It's a HVP Review!" "You're Listening to Hall's Variety Pack! "It's Time... For Release the Kraken!" When you have recorded it post a link to it either on this thread or in a PM to me and I will get back to you on the 23rd to let you know if you were successful! Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing what you come up with!
Fuck, I'd love to do this, but I'm home for the summer, and I didn't bring my mic with me :c
Curses! Well how about this, when you get your stuff together again drop me a line and we will see where we can go from there.
How many lines in total would you say the final candidates would need to record? Also, are you looking for just one voice in particular or would you allow a variety of people to participate? Also also, do you have a Watchmen comic on the left-hand side of your desk? I'm just checking your identity. :P
I may be able to assist you in this task.

In terms of numbers of voices, ideally a I'd like a variety. That gives me a lot more to work with and if someone isn't free to record any additional lines further down the line at least then I'll have someone else to work with. And I see you've found the page and yes, I do, though for the sake of editorial transparency I am now nowhere near as long haired and beardy looking as in that picture, thank god. And thanks for the replies thus far everyone, I had worried that I wasn't going to get any follow ups to this, cheers it means a lot!
Actually, I was referring to your funny movie review of 'Over The Top' that you posted a month ago. I don't know about this picture at all. :P I'll see if I can free up some time for this later on, but I don't know if my older microphone will be suitable.

are vocaroo links good enough or would I have to use something else?
