Hey,
Sorry for this being my third thread in about two weeks but I didn't realise how misguided I was! I'm basically looking for an upgrade to bring me into the current gen. I don't want the fastest pc in the world (obviously) but I'm looking for a new mobo, graphics card, processor and probably RAM. If my budget is completely unrealistic let me know and go for the cheapest I could get for my goal- I'll sort the cash. The main point is a mobo that'll work with the new cards so I can upgrade again in future when I need to. I'm just hoping to be able to play new games on low-medium so nothing crazy.. technically my current pc meets the minimum for most of them but it'll still probably cry on low.
If you need my current specs just ask, but they're not really relevant, they're in another thread floating about here too  Thanks a lot for any help.
EDIT:
Ok, I've been looking around and how does this sound:

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.40GHz
MSI ATI Radeon HD 6850 Cyclone Power Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Comes to a grand total of £324
The plan is to buy this and build it in my current case with current power supply- If the case and supply aren't good enough I then have enough room in my budget to get new ones. How does this look to you guys? Is the motherboard fine for those cards? And there's another motherboard with ATX as opposed to mini ATX but otherwise identical for an extra tenner, is that a better idea? Thanks a lot for any help.
Current case/PSU is necessary, chances are you're needing them aswell if you're coming from a prebuilt.
Can you also salvage the harddrive/optical drive?
Case is some random one from a decade a go or so.. It does the job at the mo and unless motherboard and parts have suddenly become a lot bigger I imagine it'd still do the job, but on the flipside I know nothing.
At the moment I don't know my PSU, I'll open it up an take a look a bit later but I think it's fair to assume it won't be good enough to power the latest cards (I should have thought of that!) so a new PSU is probably a good call.
Hard drives are fine, as are dvd drives and all of that good stuff.
In other news, I've spotted this bundle and was wondering whether it'd be a good start

AMD Quad Core 640 3.0Ghz, 4GB of ddr3 ram, Asus M4A78LT-M LE Motherboard all for just £154
You can actually get a nice i5 2400 build for about £400 with something like a 5670 and 4GB RAM, a bit more for a better graphics card of course.

You'll definitely need a new power supply, don't risk it.
Here's a better, revised build with case and power supply, £397 from scan.co.uk
You get a very sexy case, power supply and hyper212 along with the specs you posted.

Thanks man, that's really, really awesome
One more question, would this be a better graphics card than the 6870?

No, unless you meant 6850 in which case yes.
Thanks.
