Buzzing/humming sound audible only if using a microphone

Well, I got a new pc few weeks ago and a usb headset, and since then there's a constant buzzing/humming that I can only hear while the mic is on (I have this nifty feature that allows me to hear what I speak, since the headphones cancel out quite a lot of noise). I discovered it comes from my case, and if I touch either side of it, it almost completely stops. I tried googling and didn't find anything too great (or i'm just not good at searching), except for this trick that tells you to tie a metal wire to a screw of the case and then to something metallic. It didn't really work, but I found out that my computer could not be grounded correctly. So I come here, to ask you how to correctly ground my pc or, even better, give me a solution to the buzzing.
Funny thing is, this isn't happening with a 3.5 jack mic.

edit- should I take this to technical support?

I'm having the same problem, everything's in the same socket so it's not a ground loop, I think?
Line noise due to shitty filtering.
It's not the mic, it's something else. In this recording I lean close to the case, and the result is the sound disappearing. The second buzzing is from the fans.
I've got the Plantronics Game Com 367 headset and when I touch the front of my case (which is made out of metal) I hear the noise as well that I believe you're hearing.
