For a 58gb texture pack, I can't exactly say the result is stunningly different.
Man that's really underwhelming.
Wow, it changes almost fucking nothing
Oh well
Either it's just me or some textures look worse with the pack installed.

Are you fuckmg serious lmao that should tell u they don't know what they're doing there's no need for it to be 58gbs lmbo are these all 8k or something
I'd try it but fallout 4 is on my ssd..Don't have room for another 58 gb
looks bad todd
You're better off with unofficial HD textures because the file size will be about the same except shit will actually look different.
What a fucking disappointment. I'd wager that most textures didn't even change visually.

58 reasons they can't do their job.
btw, wasn't the Fallout 3 texture pack mod far better and only took like 8 GB ?
Seems pointless in my opinion. Say what you will about the aging engine, but I thought Fallout 4, barring various obviously glaring textures issues still looks pretty damn good without adding 58 gigs of "HD textures" that'll basically make even powerhouse PCs cry and sweat Blood. There's already better and more performance friendly stuff on the Nexus. "See that engine? You can crash it !"
Todd you worry me at times.
At least with the Skyrim HD texture pack almost every texture looked better, barring Bethesda's fucking bugs and fuckups.
Posted this in another thread but for anyone who missed it

They can't even make normal textures look decent
Someone mentioned in the Fallout thread they should focus on lighting improvements rather than pure texture improvements.
I find it ironic that Zenimax owns id Software, the makers of id Tech 6 (which is perhaps one of if not the best game engines this generation), but they also own Bethesda Game Studios, the makers of the Creation Engine (which is perhaps one of if the worst game engines this generation).
I think id should maybe help Beth Game Studios in their technical departments.
There are significant changes on some places, but you really have too look for it... which should not be required for a 58 GB upgrade.
For example:
- the helmet image - the helmet texture wasn't upgraded at all, but the ceiling and the steel textures are significantly better (this is most obvious in the fan image)
- the wheel chair isn't updated at all, but the wall and floor are
- the table texture is updated, bot nothing else in that image seems to be updated
My guess is there is just a few GB of actually updated textures, but the way engine packs texture assets, the update had to contain both new and old textures in one package, so you are mostly re-downloading same stuff again.

Bethesda didn't make creation, it's rebranded gamebryo.
On another note, the only reason this supposedly requires a fucking 1080 is because fallout 4 is an unoptimized piece of shit.

Ohhhh mannnnnn...
If Id helped get Bethesda up to speed technically, the next Bethesda game, whatever it is, would be fucking gorgeous.
Fuck you, man. Now I'm going to be really disappointed when this inevitably doesn't happen. :v:
Perhaps it would look nice on a 4K monitor but i can't see anything where i'd say Yep that is totally worth 50+ GB of textures

The largest differences is because the engine hadn't loaded the highest MIP for the texture in yet, something FO4 suffers from consistently.
It looks like slightly higher resolution textures. Definitely not worth nearly 60GB's of space.
The game already has major problems loading in textures quickly and correctly. I can't imagine how much worse this would be.
(I haven't played it in like a year, so it could be fixed by now.)
don't even get why this texture pack was needed, the one area that needs attention is the lighting
I have a 4k monitor and honestly there are some improvements but you're better off with an unofficial patch instead
