My computer will rev up, and then it will sound like it's rattling around. It's piss annoying. I don't know a thing about hardware, so I don't know what could be causing it. I've been told it's probably a fan issue. I don't know which fan, though.
Open the case and check which fan it is. (putting my money on the gpu)
How will I know which fan is being troublesome just from looking at it?
Listen to each fan. If you have a microphone, record it moving throughout your case in a predefined path and listen to the playback.
That helped me find out my gpu's fan was barely grazing its own wires within its cover.

You were right. I cleaned some dust from it, but it's still making that noise. I don't know how to fix it...

GPU fans are noisy, I suppose this only happens hen you are playing games?
The solution is to either buy a new cooler or buy a gpu with a better cooler (XFX or something) next time. If this problem also occurs when its not rendering annything you might have an airflow/dust/thermal paste problem.
