• Police called after shopping centre tries to sell literally everything

Police were called to a £10 sale at a disused shopping mall amid chaotic scenes as people tried to rip fixtures and fittings from the wall. Everything inside the Corn Exchange, formerly the Triangle, in Manchester, was being offered for as little as £10 before it is redeveloped with the proceeds going to charity Forever Manchester. how do i disassemble an escalator
damn that looks like a bloody good sale
Pretty clever, probably much more profitable than hiring someone to do the dismantling.
Pretty clever, probably much more profitable than hiring someone to do the dismantling.
minus no liability insurance
Pretty clever, probably much more profitable than hiring someone to do the dismantling.
I guess it makes sense if you want cheap dismantling and aren't too worried about a little collateral damage here and there, and it's kinda like people paying you AND clearing out the stock for you at the same time. Also £10 for stuff like flatscreen tellies or fancy armchairs is quite the freaking bargain, to say the least.
Ingenuity at its finest..

So how do I take out the entire wiring system?
Lots of stores do this at liquidation sales when they go under. I remember Circuit City was selling the cash machines and those anti-theft sensors at the entrances. I bought a few of their IP phones.
So how do I take out the entire wiring system?
That's a really good question. All the copper could be sold at a good price.
the reason you can tell its in the UK is because its raining
reminds me of the day before they tore down my old school except instead of buying that desk i just picked it up, walked out, and threw it in the car
I was hoping that by "literally selling everything" they meant that they had sold a contract to somebody that said they literally owned everything in existence.
So how do I take out the entire wiring system?
take out plug socket, grab completely exposed cables, pull away.
So a black guy buys a flatscreen tv for $10 and people call the cops..... You guys are so racist.....
take out plug socket, grab completely exposed cables, pull away.
You forgot important step #1: turn off the building's electricity before grabbing exposed cables....
Lots of stores do this at liquidation sales when they go under. I remember Circuit City was selling the cash machines and those anti-theft sensors at the entrances. I bought a few of their IP phones.
Same here! Got a bunch of batteries and cables for quarters
I came in thinking 'Oh, they are just gonna buy whatever they are selling in the stores of the mall. Maybe they got rowdy or something' But fuck, I didn't expect them to clear the whole damn mall.
When sharper image did this I bought a one inch Lucite cube I still have it in a pile of shiny crap somewhere around here
buy the stairs so people can't get to the upper floors
take out plug socket, grab completely exposed cables, pull away.
I think you mean Take out plug socket, grab completely exposed cables, get a really nasty electrical shock because the power is still on.

Why does the UK seem to get the craziest shopping sales? I remember reading once about how a store had a fire, and they advertised it as a 'literal Fire Sale!'
