This is something I rarely think about because to me, left-handed gaming is completely natural. I'd like to ask for those of you who are left-handed what sort of keybinds you use and whether you use your mouse left or right handed.
I use my mouse left-handed and I've used the WASD keys for most of my life. I also occasionally use ESDF and very recently I've been comfortably using IJKL for many games. Re-binding keys for IJKL is a bitch though, so I only do it if I plan to play the game for awhile.
I'm left handed, but I usually use the mouse in my right hand, it doesn't feel natural in my left for some reason.
I'm left handed but I play right handed, as with a lot of things I do.
I use my right for mouse, left feels bad.
Are there mice that work well for the left hand?
Right handed on fighting sticks and pads, left handed on kb and mouse
I'm not but my house mate is left-handed, he uses his mouse in his right hand and left hand on WASD/ESDF like most right-handed people do.
I'm not but my best friend is. He has the strangest control configurations
Depends on the game.
Always using my left hand. For everything. It's kind of a shift in brains (or so I'm told), when since birth instead of using right arm, you use left one instead.
It's a bit hard to use my A4Tech X7 mouse because of 2 additional buttons on left side. I can't use them, and sometimes I might accidentally press them. So if I'll buy my new mouse, I'd take either simple symmetrical one (I know Razer has those) or something specific for left hard, if there's anything like that for gamers.
As for keyboard, I'm using arrows and most buttons that are close to them. If I can't configure it well enough (like GTA IV), I'm sticking with WASD.
I've always just conformed as to how most mice are, right handed, and I use the WASD keys with my left hand. Maybe I have aiming issues or something since I'm not using my dominant hand, but I found that I've achieved some degree of fluency in my right hand, even going so far as to say that writing with a mouse on a paint application would likely look better than my right-handed real life pen scrawl. Perhaps some day I will come to a haunting realisation that I've been cheated, but until now, I've always went with the flow of the current, and I blend in with any other right-hander at a computer desk. It does however become apparent that I am much better at controlling my left hand when it comes to normal typing. My left hand always rests and has control over buttons that Mavis Beacon told me not to do.
For whatever reason, when I was in middle school they tried to normalise this, as if it were some grave sin that my left hand crossed over into the forbidden realm of the H key. My right hand is always flying around a little bit, but I can keep it stationary with some degree of control. Overall, I refuse to conform to that and I've retained this little quirk over the years, and I honestly am completely unable to change it. My left hand as a typist is much stronger, but with video games, it's always a different story. Frankly my aiming has always felt a bit clumsy but after some adjustments and the fact that I'd been using it all my life, I find that swapping configs is a hassle, especially since I'm likely to share my computer with family, so overall the annoyance of having to switch it over every time honestly does not compensate for it. It does however, make more sense to use a left handed mouse with things like twitch shooters, since having your dominant hand on digital controls is quite the waste.

Same here, maybe it's because of the way we've learned to use them. Every person's first encounter was probably with mouse on the right so it's no surprise that we learned that way.
I use tablets left handed though, since that's my writing hand.
My cousin uses a mouse with his left hand.
It looks weird, but it works for him surprisingly well.
I don't get why nobody has just flipped the entire keyboard for left handed gamers.
I'm ambidextrous, and it just feels better to have the mouse in my right hand.
I'm left handed but I've always used the computer right handed.
I learned how to use my mouse left handed for browsing and other things, can't play a game like that though. Also there's really fuck all for ergonomic mice for the left hand.
i'm left handed; i use a left handed mouse and most of the time i stick with the default binds for games
I didn't know they sold left-handed games..
I'm left handed, as a kid I would always move my family computer's mouse over to the left when I used it, I can't use it right handed cause I'm so used to left now, it feels weird even though I have a lot more control of my right hand than my right handed friends do with their left.
I've never changed keybinds from wsad, it's too much of a pain to do it for over 100 games, so I leave it alone and got used to the slight awkwardness of using wsad with my right hand, my mouse is a boring logitech one cause it's symmetrical.
I always think my father is left handed because he used his mouse in his left hand for ages.
Yep, but I play like a normal person.
I'm left handed and I don't have any problems using the mouse in my left hand and WASD controls with my right hand. Of course I have to use an ambidextrous mouse so that narrows the choices a bit (I did see a left-handed mouse by Razor I think but I didn't like the look of it).
Using WASD with my right hand seems easier (and better even) than with the left hand. A lot of the games I play use Tab, Shift, Ctrl, and/or Q that I can hit with my index finger and thumb, and other keys in the T, Y, G, and H region I hit with my pinky. The spacebar isn't a problem - I can hit that with my palm at the base of the pinky so I don't waste a finger trying to hit it. It's actually pretty comfortable.
I am a Lefty and i Have my mouse in the left and use WASD but the thing is dont Shoulder Rifles on the left but on the Right and i never use left side viewmodels for games like counterstrike it doesnt feel very natural.

If you're talking about the Razer DeathAdder Left hand edition it may look wierd or uncomfortable but If you have the chance get one. It fits my hand like a glove its the best mouse for lefty's right now.
I'm left handed for everything except using a computer, and using a gun (since my right eye is dominant).

Me too, I use my right hand for everything except writing, it's my dominant hand for some reason

Yeah that's the one. I'm happy with the mouse I have right now, but maybe once it's time for a new one I'll take another look at the DeathAdder. I'm used to the side buttons being on the left though so it may take some getting used to.
Also, for you other lefties, do you switch the left and right mouse buttons? I'm too used to the regular way.
I write with my left hand (in private mostly) and game a bit left-handed.
But due to "oppression" (read: social stigma and derision) from the masses, I also managed to get used to right-handling stuff, since childhood.
You can't believe how many kids make fun of left-handers and perhaps bully eachother on this matter.
It's stupid, but it still happens.
Left handed gamers? They're all deformed mutants with no soul, so yes, I am
I use my left and and WASD V:v:V
My best mate is left handed, he plays both console and PC right handed, he says that it isn't an issue for him.
He does write and play guitar/uke left handed though
I mouse in right hand and left on keyboard.
..How do you "play console" with one hand now again?

I've never ever heard of that.
Sounds dumb as hell, could they really not find anything to pick on and so they settled with picking on which hand you prefer to hold a fork in?
I just hear stupid shit like "left handed people are supposed to be artistic because the left arm is connected to right side of brain which handles art".
When it comes to eating and using tools like hammers and axes I can use any hand though.
