In his latest Twitter outburst against North Korea, President Trump said that “long gas lines [are] forming in North Korea,” adding an exclamatory “Too bad!” (In the same tweet, he bestowed a new nickname on Kim Jong Un: “Rocket Man.”)
But where is the president getting this information about gas lines from?
Residents in the North Korean capital are scratching their heads. Although there are reports of price increases, they’ve seen no queues at the few service stations in Pyongyang, a capital of some 2 million that has more cars than it used to but is still far from congested.
“We are not aware of any long queues at the gas stations,” said one foreign resident of Pyongyang. “At least, I haven’t noticed anything. I asked a few Koreans and they haven’t seen anything either.”
Another said there had been no obvious change since the last sanctions resolution was passed by the U.N. Security Council. “Traffic on Friday was as heavy here as I’ve seen it. Normal on Saturday. Quieter on Sunday.” In other words, the same as every week.
Doesn't seem too political, just more nonsense.

A phrase that really sums up 90% of what comes out of Trump's mouth.
Too bad!
Is our president actually making fun of North Korean citizens lmao
Must be terrible for all 3 people who own cars there.
it's amazing how he managed to find the one hardship north koreans don't face
Trump has been a bullshitter his entire life, he just hasn't adjusted to the internet age where he can be instantly fact-checked. How oblivious can you get?
I fucking hate Trump but somehow the very idea of the leader of one of (if not) the most influential nations on the planet calling another leader Rocket Man condescendingly is hilarious to me.
I have to admit.. I chuckled at Rocket Man.
Other than that it's pure nonsense. Another missile launch/test will probably happen soon and nothing will be said or done.
Geeze, I was expecting something much more dire when I saw "gas lines".
I chuckled at Rocket Man.
it's cute but something I'd expect from one of us shitposters, not the person who actually has to deal with (and who's statements can actively incite) a lit firecracker of a nation that just fired two ICBMs over japan, aka 'in our general direction' this past month or so, just after having made several threats about their capabilities being able to reach as far as chicago, threatening to turn us into a wasteland, etc.
as usual they're very likely overstating their abilities (either out of chest-puffing, and/or they're just bad at geography [didn't they mistake washington state for DC?]) but I have a sinking feeling they're testing the waters for a much longer launch. (god forbid these WERE their real launch attempts)
Every time this idiot twitters something where people natuarlly go "what an idiot" about I can't but thnk about what other important piece of information lands under the rug because of the easy outrage about Trump being dumb
If we could not go to war under the Trump administration that would be great.
It would be devastating for Canadians as well since we inevitably walk into whatever shitstorm America stirs up.

It's honestly probably the cleverest thing that Trump's ever tweeted, especially since it might even be some sort of pun involving President Moon's name.

If he ever calls him President Moon Moon then we know for sure he's being coached in his tweets for at least the zingers.
Only elton john deserves to be called rocket man
Somehow this is even more disturbing than the usual Trump fabrications. It's like, you're just claiming there is an event taking place that is not taking place. It's not even something relative like whether your crowds are big or not. He's just making something up entirely. It's like saying Pyongyang is currently underwater and everyone just goes "uh.. no it's not?". Why is he like this? Fucking hell
truly a man, who is fully cognizant of his surroundings, and has daily intelligence briefings.
it's amazing how he managed to find the one hardship north koreans don't face
His ability to fuck up even the simplest of facts is continually astounding, a scientific marvel.
north korean cars are partly fueled by wood/corn/etc.
wonder if hes talking about that.

I bet you all the North Koreans are laughing their asses off at this
That tweet makes so little sense that I couldn't even infer what it meant at first.

I dunno, I think it depends on how diplomatically separated our two countries are by the time it comes to that. There's a pretty serious wedge being driven between us after all, same for Mexico.

Call the Trump Translation Squad!... if even they can decipher this nonsense.
It shows how disconnected he is from everything at the end of the day, assuming that one symbol of impending hard times in America is immediately applicable to North Korea.
