Hm, recompiling it on the newer Unreal engine should make it stable. Maybe then they can actually up the graphics a little. (Lol yeah right)
"launched like a soggy biscuit" what
APB:R used to run like shit.
APB:Rereloaded.
does this mean we'll get trench coats? i can't wait to see all the fuckers running around like they're neo from the matrix n shit
please do something about the driving, the way it handles the driving in the netcode is cringeworthy
This game is rubbish and it's trying so hard to not die out. I remember how hyped up the trailers got me before it's release, it really did look like an amazing game in every single aspect. If anything it looked like the next best thing after GTA. I even pre ordered it and I remember the hours I spent with the shitty launcher updating and messing me about. I spent £30 on something I probably played for nothing more than 6/7 hours. This game made me think twice before I pre order games. I even downloaded it last year and tried to play it again, things have barely changed from when I first got it and, if anything it was even harder to actually enjoy it. Especially seeing as you have to now get buy premium shit to get anything half decent.
Did they ever fix the 3GB memory usage on the main menu?
Did they ever fix the 3GB memory usage on the main menu?
Did they ever fix the colossal fuck-up that was the entire game? :v:
Hopefully they un-remove the fov command by accident in the transition
They should just like totally remake the game. They can't keep working on the original codebases. [editline]21st October 2013[/editline]
Did they ever fix the 3GB memory usage on the main menu?
Jesus christ don't make me remember that. The game was an unplayable huge memory sink.
Isn't this that super pay-to-win game where people could buy guns that are clearly better than anything you could earn through free play?
Isn't this that super pay-to-win game where people could buy guns that are clearly better than anything you could earn through free play?
Nah there are only 2 imbalanced cash shop weapons, CSG and Scout And they still have downsides at least
None of the weapons on the Armas marketplace are unbalanced as such. They're merely varients of existing in-game weapons with preset mods. At best they're sidegrades. The engine upgrade should be interesting depending how they approach it.
Isn't this that super pay-to-win game where people could buy guns that are clearly better than anything you could earn through free play?
APB is many things, but not this
The game was boring and monotonous on missions. The customization really is outstanding but that is literally the only thing that kept me playing.
This better mean magazines actually come out/in of guns when you reload.
last time i played this solo, i got tossed into really unfair or just plain unbalanced missions. if i wasnt put on an existing team i was pit against two people and forced to somehow defend two locations about 200 km away from eachother. when i am put on a team the enemy team has the objective of "drive the fuck away for 10 minutes to win". when i played this with three other friends we were up against guys with rocket launchers every round. if im bored of all other games i could see myself playing a completely rebalanced APB maybe.
This better mean magazines actually come out/in of guns when you reload.
Doubt it, they'd have to rework the mesh and the animations. Not worth it
The only redeeming feature of APB last I played it, that made it worth having a piss about on despite the awful optimization was ruining peoples shit in a dump truck, nothing is funnier than getting 3 friends together, grabbing dump trucks and patrolling the streets.
Remember the promised race district
Remember the promised race district
they officially scrapped it [editline]21st October 2013[/editline] actually the only reason anything's happening is because the old dev team got fired in it's entirety
they officially scrapped it [editline]21st October 2013[/editline] actually the only reason anything's happening is because the old dev team got fired in it's entirety
I know they did, along with any other promise they made about expanding the game The only real change since RTW are the arena districts and a bunch of p2w weapons

I had the semi-auto battle rifle and I just ninja defended the fuck out of one of the points. The poor sods couldn't touch me.
Eh, the only brokenly overpowered weapons are the CSG and Nano imo. The CSG is just a better shotgun that can kill you in 2 half-hits, literally a noob shotgun. And the Nano is ~exclusive~ which apparently makes it okay to be OP.
Doubt it, they'd have to rework the mesh and the animations. Not worth it
Not really most of the weapon UPKs have mag models in them and the animations would work fine.
i spent most of my time in this game fucking about in the customization areas. i loved making new clothes and designing shit on my cars and i probably spent a couple months on that - most of my funds came through various songs i made and uploaded to sell over and over, worked pretty well
APB may be many things, but if you've played it for as long as I have, you'll realize that its not pay to win. You just have to actually acquire some skill and learn how to use the right gun for the situation. As for the engine, this is great news. They are essential making the engine easier for them to work around in, which means more frequent updates that tailor more to content and whatnot. The update will also fix numerous performance issues for the game and make it a lot more playable for more people. its really annoying people claim that the game is pay to win-it just seems like you tried the game, got mad that you couldnt win the majority of missions and rage-quit. Putting the threat system aside, a lot of people will just shit on the game because they dont do as good as they hoped. The thing is, ive had my share of unbalanced missions. It just happends. You'd be suprised how much those missions make you a better all around player. You can never win everything in APB, just give yourself less of a chance to lose.
"launched like a soggy biscuit" what
Did you play or know about this game when it was still under realtime worlds? If you do then you'd know the release was terrible as they were forced to release the game pretty early and unfinished as a last ditch effort to avoid bankruptcy; It didn't work.
