Gotta read the fine print. :v:
They have had student Amazon Prime for many years now.
You get discounts on books, and free two day shipping on any product that is shipped by Amazon.
Everyone already gets free cloud storage of 5gb unless you purchase more, and you do not get free access to the instant movies, if you try to play any of them that isn't already free to everyone, it will tell you to subscribe to the full $75 a year Prime.
Though, this thread is great for people who somehow missed the big emblem that is usually on the right side of Amazon's home page.

That is only for the trial of Amazon Prime.
Student Amazon Prime gives you a full year, and as long as you are a student, at the end of the year you can continue using Prime for free.
You will not be charged unless you want it after you have graduated.

Wow, I can see you being homeschooled during high school (which is already bad as it is.) ... but getting homeschooled through college is just being a recluse. You should want to leave the house.

Dammit. My mistake. Either I didn't read everything, or they didn't specify what they meant when they said "student".
Whenever I buy something heavy and large off of amazon (TVs, furniture, etc) I get a pre-paid debit card with the amount needed and make a new account. I activate the prime, buy the stuff, get free 2 day shipping and forget about the account as it doesn't matter since the card is empty.

You can cancel it before hand and 39/yr isn't bad for free shipping on like every item and free access to movies/tv shows/music/online storage
All UK students get is a 5% discount :(
I love free two-day shipping :D
How would I get a .edu email address? I go to 2 colleges but I can't figure out how to even get one, and book discounts/free shipping would be nice.

Contact your college library and see if they offer students a .edu, or go to your college's website and check the student portal and see if they allow you to create an email.
One of the colleges I went to had an email, but they didn't tell you about it readily, so I just stumbled upon it. Another college that I transferred to gave me an email, because it was the only method through which they would ever contact me.
