• Is my steam account screwed? How can I get it back after I sign out? Help!

Hey guys, so I dont really like the mobile authenticator thing but I got it so i could play tf2 competitive. Anyway so recently I broke my phone, but luckily I am still signed in to steam and getting a new phone in a few weeks. But my question is, will the authenticator transfer to my new phone? I tried to remove my current authenticator from my account but it says I need the recovery code from the phone, which wont turn on. So the only way I can really sign back in next time is from a new phone, and I cant remove the old one. Will it transfer if I have the same phone number. Sorry for weird wording, not great at this.
You really should have written the recovery code on a piece of paper or something when adding the authenticator. They don't tell you to do that for nothing. [editline]Edited:[/editline] Also, Google is your friend:
Can I transfer my authenticator to my new phone? Yes, you can. To transfer your authenticator to a new phone, you'll need one of two things: access to the phone number associated with your account (so we can send you a text message to confirm it's you) or the recovery code you wrote down when you set up the authenticator. From the Steam Mobile app on your new device, try to log into your account. When the app asks for your authenticator code, select "Please help, I no longer have access to my Mobile Authenticator codes." Follow the steps the app provides and you can either: transfer your authenticator to the new device or remove it from the previous device. Should have used the Steam Desktop Authenticator instead. It just requires a phone number that can receive an sms. And its much faster than the crappy steam app. If there's no way to access your mobile phone data you're screwed so try a steam support ticket.

No.

Never use anything Jessecar96 makes.
