I guess theres no other way to talk abot this series anymore. Is this series still good? I fell off long ago, but as long as they keep doing intersting settings with things to climb on it's all good no?
So the mechanics meneaing the fighting and the climbing was bad? What did the game have then, do they still include sailing?

Never got into it myself aside from Black Flag. From what I saw Black Flag gave hope to Ass Creed being a better franchise.
One year later Unity happened and now everyone doubts Ubisoft and Ass Creed, and will do so for a while.
the mechanics got better in unity but the story fell off the map with a barebones story that had to be finished with the dlc that came like half a year later
if unity is anything to go by, the modern story is being less and less forced upon the player
I think Assassin's Creed is better off as a Time Travel game where you play random people doing genetic time travel to various locations for no reason other than to be there.
...WWI when?
Ahh I see, the sailing gets old ey. Good that the combat got more challenging. I suppose you might need more then just a setting and climbing, those other elements are important too. Revelations had an interesting setting IMO, yet it was such a lackluster game.
If they can't think up good stories they should rebrand: Time Travel Tourist Creed
Kidding, I'll probably check out more games in the series at some point, but my interests haven't been peaked with the settings of late, maybe I'm underestimating them.
black flag was good but rogue showed that the sailing gets old fast, though i would like to see unity's engine/combat/otherimprovements brought into a blackflag esque game, since the sword fighting in unity feels more like swordfighting and less like "press b to not die"
Holy fucking shit you are sooooooooo mother fucking right on that press b thing.
Like I'm trying to feel like a badass pirate, but sword fighting is just mashing X, and then sometimes mashing b THEN x so I don't get cleaved by this fucking big boys with axes or ultimatly butt fucked by those officers.

Honestly the moment we get to something like the Civil War in an Ass Creed game, I'm surprised the game doesn't just become some third person shooter, ala Red Dead Redemption with the revolvers, and lever actions and other new guns at the time that allowed for multiple round firing. It'd have to be one of those games where to make up for the mediocre okish gameplay, you'd NEED to have a really solid plot with interesting characters and character interactions.
