The Shropshire caves date back around 700 years when they were used by followers of the Knights Templar – a medieval religious order that fought in the Crusades. These images come from photographer Michael Scott, from Birmingham, who set out in search of the historical wonder after seeing a video of it online. Some chambers are so tiny that those exploring have to enter them on hands and knees.
Sources: The Metro UK Shropshire Star [t]https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/ad_237704549.jpg[/t][t]https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/ad_237704730.jpg[/t] [t]https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/ad_237704825.jpg[/t][t]https://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/ad_237704657.jpg[/t]

That's fucking cool.
That's cool as fuck. Makes me wonder if there's any more hidden systems like this around the country.
Wifi + solar, and I live there
The rabbit hole goes literally deeper.
Looks like something from the elder scrolls
Looks like something from the elder scrolls
The candles are burning after 700 years. Skyrim was realistic after all
In 2012, it was reported that the owners of the caves closed them to people wanting to visit after they found they had been filled with candles, graffiti and rubbish. The entrance to the caves was sealed up in attempt to keep the trespassers at bay.
That's rather a shame, i'd have liked to go and see it. Went on a class trip to see some of the catacombs in Naples as a child, and found those rather fascinating albeit a little scary at that age.
I presume the cameraman recorded after he lit uo the cave with candles?
Did Nicholas Cage already take the treasure?

Were those photos taken in HDR or something? There's something off about them and I can't quite put my finger on it
Did they place portable lights for photography purposes? Or did they have electricity????
Did they place portable lights for photography purposes? Or did they have electricity????
I do believe those are called "candles."
I do believe those are called "candles."
Hmm. Yes. I see now. Am I blind?
Hmm. Yes. I see now. Am I blind?
I think you might need to get a check up
Damn, this is awesome. This one remind me that not long ago, someone discovered an entrance to hidden japanese weapon factory near rice fields.
Reminds me of that Medieval Roman (Byzantine) cave fort/town https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derinkuyu_underground_city Honestly I would have expected this in Turkey, Syria, Israel or Palestine not in England.
Were those photos taken in HDR or something? There's something off about them and I can't quite put my finger on it
I'm no expert on light and photography but it looks to me like the lens flares from the candles are photshopped.
I'm not very familiar with how light works and photography but it looks to me like the lens flares from the candles are photshopped.
Nah. they most likely just increased their exposure time for a better picture, causing the candles and the areas around them.
Still finds more evidence of Templar activity then the digs on Oak Island.
