Would be hilarious if people could paste a crack upon it and in that way have the full game without limits :v:

Do I need Origin to play the SimCity Free Trial? Yes. Origin is required to download the SimCity Free Trial. Please note: Origin must be left in Online Mode while the Free Trial is played. If Origin is switched to Offline mode the Free Trial game client will close. It can be resumed again by setting Origin back to Online Mode. The trial timer starts as soon as you launch SimCity and will run continuously until its conclusion 4 hours later. You can enter and exit the Free Trial game as often as you want during the trial time, however the Free Trial will end after 4 hours even if you are not playing at the time.
A demo with always-online DRM, fucking hell EA
Sure there are cracks that also make the game playable offline?
Probably, but there's no point since it'd be just as much effort as cracking the full game again
the reason it's so short is because once you've built one city you've basically done all you can do in the game.
Probably, but there's no point since it'd be just as much effort as cracking the full game again
Advantage would be the fast (in my case it was pretty damn fast) download times from EA's servers.
